with the 6+5 rule looking like a certainty i what situation does it put players like
mcgready
James Morrison

does it come down to citizenship or country of representation or do these players represent a walking loophole

and how pissed of must hearts fans be?? oh well, fuck em!!!

hearts will be in trouble if this goes through right enough. dont think it will affect the others too drastically though as there is a good core of scottish players around the league these days.

just wondered if that the fact they play for a different nation than which there league team is situated does that goes against them. would suck big time.

also if they bring this rule in then as a compromise to it they should cut the under 21 rule to just one player.

I'm pretty sure if the player is on the clubs books before he turns 21 and has been there for 3 seasons then he can be considered an exception, so McGeady for example would be counted as one of the required 6.

But I'm not 100% sure on that

McGeady will be fine as he was brought through the ranks at Celtic. This relates to Darren O'Dea in the same way. I think if this rule does come into football, there will be major technicalities through the country of origin etc.

Hearts will be in big trouble. However, they do have a few Scottish prospects coming through. They also do have decent players in Michael Stewart, Alan Driver and Cristophe Berra.
