The AFC announced the final draw of qualification to the 2011 Asian Cup yesterday. Here they are:

Group B: Australia, Indonesia, Oman, Kuwait.
Group C: Uzbekistan, UAE, Malaysia, India.
Group D: Vietnam, China, Syria, Lebanon.
Group E: Iran, Thailand, Jordan, Singapore.
The top two from each group will join South Korea, Saudi Arabia, the Champions Iraq, and the winners of the AFC Challenge Cup 2008/2010 in Qatar in 2011.

Please correct me if i am wrong. So 15 teams play in the asia cup finals.
What if the winners of the afc challenge cup 2008 and 2010 are the same?. India has qualified to the 2011 asia cup by winning this year's afc challenge cup. So what if they play these qualifying games too and end up first or second in their group?

16 nations play, he forgot to list Qatar, the host nation. First off those in the Challenge Cup are not involved in this group stage. Remember its to help developing nations, so they get a chance to improve at the highest level. So its impossible for India to be 1st or 2nd as they are not apart of this qualification step.
Good old Wiki has the answer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_AFC_Asian_Cup
