What is there to talk about anyway? We don't want to pollute this space with the politics of envy so characteristic of our football.
Jesus, even this thread died a quick death.

I like the Portuguese Liga. I wish more people would cap their matches and that I could see it on t.v. in the U.S.

Well let me be the only one I guess to bring this back to the forefront. lol
Aimar was a major scoop for Benfica. Not just what he can do on the field but his acquistion will attract more quality players. I think Aimar will rip it up in the Liga.

There's plenty to talk about..
The Liga hasn't been this exciting in years. The big 3 of Portugal have put together amazing squads this offseason. Should be an exciting & competitive year.

There is no problem with Portuguese football. The only thing is, there are other leagues that are for most people including myself, more interesting. I wouldn't mind watching Benfica or Porto league matches, if it wasn't for the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A. Hell, I've even started watching Brazilian league footie.
Add to all this, the fact that football fans in general don't really know much about Portuguese football, therefore they can't really contribute to threads in the Portuguese section. It does seem a bit odd though, that despite the number of Portuguese people on these forums, more of them don't post.

There's probably not too much talk here because the league isn't available (at least in the U.S.) on the soccer channels, like FSC and GolTV.
Moving on, what's this (http://www.record.pt/noticia.asp?id=820390&idCanal=24) all about? Sporting wants the head of the referees to step down?
