Week 2 of the most important football competition in Portugal this year and we'll have already a derby match as Benfica faces Porto, in Lisbon.
Friday 29th August:
Belenenses 2 - 2 Paços de Ferreira
Saturday 30th August:
Benfica 1 - 1 FC Porto
Sunday 31st August:
Nacional 2 - 1 Naval
Trofense 1 - 2 Leixões
Académica 1 - 0 Rio Ave
V. Setúbal 1 - 0 Est. Amadora
Monday 1st September:
Braga 0 - 1 Sporting
Marítimo 0 - 1 V. Guimarães
Belenenses e Paços de Ferreira tied up yesterday, José Pedro scored the first of the game to Belenenses, a great goal, yet in the first half Paços de Ferreira managed to tie the game, I don't remember who scored.
In the end of the second half, William scored the second goal for Paços and at minute 94, Belenenses Player Arroz, with another great goal, set the final result.

Last saturday Benfica and Porto tied at Estadio da Luz, 1-1 was the final score, Lucho scored for Porto at minute 10, via penalty kick, and Cardozo tied the match in the second Half.
Yesterday Nacional defeated Naval by 2-1, this way, and so far, Nacional is the leader of Liga Sagres with 6 points, the only team that did so until today, anyway if Braga-Sporting doesn't end in a tie, Nacional will have to share the lead with the winning team, neither Maritimo or Guimarães (the teams envolved in the other match of today) have chance to do more than 4 points (Guimarães, who had a tie last week). The goals of Nacional-Naval were scored by Mateus at minute 49 and Alonso at 52, both for Nacional, Naval's goal was scored at 70 by Paulão.
Trofense lost again this week, this time against Leixões, by 1-2, Wesley made the 0-1 at minute 23, Zé Manuel set the score on 0-2 at minute 61, and 5 minutes later Ricardo Nascimento made Trofenses only goal.
Academica won against Rio Ave with a boal by José Luis Garcés at minute 23.
Vitória de Stubal defeated Estrela da Amadora with an only goal, scored at minute 2, from that moment on Setubal faced some hard time trying to keep the lead.

Last monday Sporting defeated Braga away, Helder Postiga Scored the only goal of the gme at an early minute 4. Sporting and Nacional now share the lead of the championship, being that Sporting is the oficial first classified.
Also, Maritimo lost at home with Guimarães by 0-1, Roberto scored for Guimaraes at minute 14, after a huge defensive error from Maritimo, leaving two Guimarães' players alone with Maritimo's goalkeeper.
Thats all for this week, Liga Sagres comes back in three weeks after a calendar stoppage for international duty, check back than.
