Just thought I'd open up a thread to discuss the future of French football. The FFF international section and a Wikipedia page on the youth national teams are always updated. Here are the links:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/France_national_youth_football_team
http://www.fff.fr/selections/2013.shtml
Also, apparently the captain of the under-16s Paul Pogba is being chased after by both Liverpool and Arsenal (knowing Wenger, all of the players on each squad are linked there). Juventus have supposedly offered Le Havre a fee.
Darnel Situ and Jeremy Hela is wanted by Manchester United.
Apparently in April, Yeni Ngbakoto turned down a chance to join Tottenham opting to stay with Metz.
Also, apparently after poaching Kakuta, Chelsea aren't done. They are, among others, trying to sign the "new Kaka" from Lyon. Aulas isn't having it. :D

Kakuta is blazing up the news for CFC, that much i know. every youth report i read talks about him and Borini (an Italian obviously)
very skilled player apparently. i have actually watched very little of him tho, as its tough to get youth matches,

Yes, Kakuta is scary good. I was shocked he wasn't given a squad number this season, yet players like Miroslav Stoch and Michael Woods are getting ahead of him. Is it because he's 17? He scored in his last youth match with France. I think the youth team (France U-18) he plays in is the future of the national team.

Yeah, alot of Italian clubs are scouting him. Other than Juve, I heard Milan, Fiorentina, and Inter are looking at him.

believe it is his age. i havent read much of LFS speaking about the youngsters, but then BAM, Stoch made his debut v the Gunners. now, im guessing thats cuz at the time, Di Santo was injured and DD suspended. otherwise he may not have debuted.
but i really hope he comes good, he would be the type of great winger type midfielder CFC needs right now:o

Don't forget future talents like William Remy, Steven-Joseph Monrose, Darnel Situ, and Thorgan Hazard, he's the brother of Eden Hazard, who ironically plays Lille. That's self-explanatory right there.

Loïc Rémy could have a really bright future it's bad that Lyon didn't let him play so much there:(

Quite good, he's already playing for the under-21s. Domenech better get this kid cap. I heard Algeria's been after him since he made his debut with Grenoble.

I bet he'll turn down Algeria's offer like Benzema did.

Menez has just started playing the way he was playing earlier in his career at Monaco. Ironically, ever since he's become permanent in the Roma squad, they have been winning. ;) He's currently one of those guys (and there are alot) that, if Domenech wasn't manager, would already be capped.
Also, PSG is picking up Clairefontaine graduates every other day. If only Creteil weren't sucking in National, they could be getting these guys.

well tbf, he was only starting in Vucinic's absence. and the current run is mostly due to a healthy Totti. but Menez has certainly begun to show his potential. love his dribbling, but i do feel he is very like Mancini (who you lot know well;)) as in he is such a confidence player. the winner at Chievo really lifted him, but the sitters he missed before that sent him to the bench after poor performances.

Juve are looking at U-19 defender Sebastien Corchia and Fiorentina have supposedly made an offer to Lens for KMP. Most likely to replace Pazzini or maybe just an upgrade.

But I don't think that KMP will leave Lens beacuse he knows that he will not get so much playing time in Fiorentina;)

Awesome team, but i would rather play henry as Fw from start , for his experience and bring in benzema late on..other than that, this team would kick any NTs ass.

check out Euro 08. check out the decline since WC 06. and check out who still remains at the helm. thats exactly why you wont kick any NT's ass.

With all this hoopla about us struggling to qualify for the World Cup, his time is slowly, but surely running out. I mean their doing PSAs on if we are going to qualify for the World Cup. WTF......we are France!!! Not the damn Faroe Islands.
Also: The U-16s won the Aegean Cup yesterday.

Didier Deschamps would be a great NT manager he would probably make the french NT the best in the world look he made AS Monaco runners-up to FC Porto in the CL Finals and look where Monaco is now:p

France U-17 won their first game in the Elite round with 3-0 of Belarus. They're playing their second game today.
Darnel Situ, the captain said on the FFF that the collective is the strength of this team. I don't know if this matches are broadcasted? TheLionLyon?
I think they will succeed to past the group. Besides, does anybody know what happened to Henri Saivet. He was one of the most highly rated players in the French national youth team of 2007.

They aren't broadcasted, but the FFF website usually shows the match highlights following the match. The back four of Tamble (PSG), Situ (Lens), Appiah (Monaco), and Turan (Grenoble) are the strength IMO. They will be great for years to come. Man United have been on Situ for awhile. Should stay at Lens though.
As for Saivet, he hasn't been playing lately for Bordeaux, not even for the reserves. He'd be playing on the U-19 team right now, but most of the U-19 players are playing for the senior squad, if not their than in the CFA.

U-19 squad in the UEFA U-19 Championship. They are playing Spain, as I post. They need to win to reach the semis and they lead 1-0 with a goal from Brahimi (one hell of a player btw :D, but a little selfish) of Rennes who will be playing for Clermont next year . They are really dominating Spain after not playing up to standard in the first two matches.
1 - 0 France over Spain. Not a good second half, though. They looked like the senior team once they score a goal, just completely stopped attacking.
