i Dunno why nobody is posting in this African forum anymore nor the official Egyptian thread...so i decided tostart a new thread may be this would regain life to this forum once more
National team chances to SA 2010
Now the crucial round in the qualifying African group is coming closer with 2 matches proved to be lethal for the four team lets take a look at both of them
1-Rwanda Vs Egypt
2-Algeria Vs Zambia
Group standings tells that Algeria is leading with 3 points ahead and +4 Goal Difference
Egypt comes second with 3 points less and +1 Goal Difference only
Algeria finished their last round winning 2-0 Vs Zambia in an away game while Egypt won 3-0 on a home encounter
Why is crucial?
This is the only and last game that may prove difficult to Algeria when they play Zambia at their home land....if Algeria won against Zambia on sunday this means qualification to World Cup is almost done for them
but what about Egypt?.....
Amr Zaki has returned from a short professional career at Wigan but he returned so far away from his old form and news in the last 2 days been talking about Abou Treka and Barakat both injured and Mohamed Zidan the only striker on form now wasnot selected for the game for being disloyal to the national team
so difficult match ahead when Egypt is going to face Rwanda with inexperienced front line (either Strikers or attacking midfielders) when no result is permitted but winning and with fair margin and score as many as we can
whats ur opinion ....will Egypt win agianst Rwanda?
can Egypt qualify to world cup SA 2010?

Well Dogme i dunno if u are egyptian to remind u that it happened before during world cup qualification as well with both Namibia and Liberia when we should have won easily against these 2 small teams to find a way on the road to the world cup
yet players on that time failed us by end in a draw 1-1 with Namibia, and on the other occasion losing to Liberia 0-1 on 2 away encounters which look much like this one
but i agree with you if Egypt has to prove something we should win this match easily and with more than +2 score to keep our chances on the ground for qualifying

On paper this is an easy match, but there are a lot of factors that makes it very hard (but not impossible). Zidan, Emad Mitaeb, and M.Fathalla are out, and Elhadary, Abou Treika, and Barakat may not be available. And Rwanda chose the best timing for the game, 1.30 pm . And the lack of oxygen because of the height of the grounf above sea level.
We can do the it and return home with the three points!

I agree with u brother Masry it is very hard but not going to be impossible (in sha2 Allah)
yet still Algeria has a very good chance tomorrow actually i can see all our national team chances is about tomorrow .....If only could Zambia make a draw with Algeria will get everything back on the ground, and as well we winning against Rwanda is a must today
i just wish Coach Shehata would let the players to fast if they want or else it will make them even more nervous

Well latest news and interviews about Egyptian team is as follows
Abou Treka and Barakat participated in the last training for Egypt on friday and the chance of featuring in todays match is getting higher....Although i dont beleieve myself that Barakat would be ready for today ans his injury in the hip is much profound than to be treated in the matter of 2 days
News about Algeria:
Mourad Meghni the attacking midfielder of Lazio will be joining the squad tomorrow and will be on the bench...which means a big boost to the Algerian team where on the other side for stupid misunderstanding Zidan wont feature in todays match against Rwanada and may be next game against Zambia which will be more difficult than today's match

Breif match Report:
-well right before the game Mohamed Abou Treka wasnt able to recover from his injury during the warmup and Ahmed Hassan was his replacement
-Egypt was the better side during the first half but with no real chances inside the penalty area except for one for Ahmed Hassan who wasnot as quick to shot as the Rwanda's deffence in clearing and another for Abd Raouf who was there after a bizzare mistake from Rwanda's deffence yet he wasnot that concentrating and shot the ball wide
-during 1st half Sayed Hamdy suffered an injury to add to our national team lack of support infront and was replaced by Mohammad Gabbas....thats all about it befor half time
-2nd half started with Rwanda getting more courageous and had 2 shots on Egyptian goal were deflected by Essam elHaddary who was enough aware allover the game
-68th minute one of the rare organised attacks to Egypt,Ahmed Ft-hy had the ball on the right edge of the area and paased it to Hosni Abd Rabboh who tried a first time shot which looked weak and wide, however luckily Ahmed Hassan was there to deflect it into Rwanda's net scoring the only goal of the game
-Later on Gabbas had 2 direct runs through the right side of the penalty one was cleared to corner and the other he created good low cross to his teammates but was wasted too
-worthy to note here that Barakat and Ahmed Eid came in during the second half replacing Ahmed Hassan and Ahmed Abd ElRaouf
