The young Vietnamese ace that handed Vietnam the Suzuki Cup in 2008 has been loaned to Portuguese Liga club Lexioes SC. On August 24th, in this debut for the club in a friendly, he scored in the 89th minute to give the Portuguese side a 2-0 win over Padroense F.C. Vinh will remain in Portugal until Dec. 31, where Leixoes has the option of signing the player or sending him back to the V-League. Vinh is the second Vietnamese national team player to play outside of Vietnam since Le Huynh Duc. All of this wouldn't have been possible if Henrique Calisto, who before taking the reigns of the Vietnamese national team was an advisior to Portuguese Football Federation.
