thats good news..a little depth, and hopefully TImmy will be back from everton and starting in the 07-08 season

yeah might have been the best thread ever to grace mff. lol. Remember the rock had names like "IluvScousers" and what not and maxxed fucked with him and would change his password. Oh that was hilarious. I think Maxxed should resurrect that thread and sticky it.
yeah i second that, the thread was worth its weight in comedic gold.

Manchester United Reveal New Loan Signing Tomasz Kuszczak

A twist in the story lol

Kuszczak signs four-year Man United deal

Manchester United chief executive David Gill has confirmed Tomasz Kuszczak has signed a four-year contract with the Old Trafford club.

The Old Trafford outfit announced Kuszczak's arrival from West Brom but curiously failed to state the terms of the deal.

West Brom suggested the 24-year-old had initially signed on loan, with a view to the deal becoming permanent, although Gill has now clarified the situation.

'Tomasz will be a Manchester United player for the next four years,' he said.

'He has come to us on loan for the first year and then will join us permanently in July 2007.

'We would not have been interested in signing any player, even as one as good as Tomasz, on loan. We would hope Tomasz remains a Manchester United player for many years to come.'

Sir Alex Ferguson has been chasing Kuszczak for most of the summer.

After protracted discussions, United agreed to let Paul McShane and Luke Steele join the Baggies as part of the deal.

In addition, Ben Foster has returned to Watford for a second season in order to gain greater Premiership experience.

You know at first i did think it was weird that Untied would sign Tomasz on loan while allowing two promising youngsters to go the other way permanently. But i just attributed it to United's terrible problem with transfer dealings, lol.

after the news i hope United sell Timmy...they wil start having a log jam in couple of year with three very good keepers(Ben Foster, Timmy Howard, Kuszczak ) and it could affect team chemestry. I hoe one of these guys are sold. Yet IMO i think Kuszczak is the fourth best kepper on the Uniteds senor squad. Behind EVDS, Foster, and Timmy.

massive bias without a doubt. shocking to see how many chelsea, liverpool and arsenal mods there are and no united ones. if it was at least spread out across all the leagues i couldn't care less, but it does bother me a tad. I'm sure the mods will deny it, but there is a subjectiveness to some of their calls, particularly at particularly interesting times when they decide to start arguments over nothing or get an attitude over the smallest thing just because they are pissed at one of my prior opinions on an issue. It's slight and maybe the only person who notices it is the one directly effected, but it is there without a doubt.

Let's just hope that united wins the league and all the names turn red. That within itself would be some good retribution. piss'em all off.

The Hargreaves news to me is pretty much dead in the water. Bayern finds out United is interested, and they have started there "he's not leaving, he must fulfill his contract" talk (translation... add another 5-8 million pounds to whatever offer you are going to submit)... just a kindly suggestion to United... if you want a player to come to us, please put in a bid asap before the media gets wind of it... that way you can stop paying so much more for transfers that imo aren't valued as high as you're paying...

Although I want the transfer window to close asap and the season to start, I still am a lil interested to know what United is doing with the Senna deal... are they still trying to get Diarra/Hargreaves? are they still looking to add an addition striker?

man, United shop in the transfer market like women... pick up, look at, put down... pick up, look at, put down... buy already!!! :D

Bayern rule out Owen

Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves claims to have received an offer to join United, but the Bundesliga champions are adamant he is not for sale.

The 25-year-old, who will appear for England against Greece at Old Trafford on Wednesday, has made no secret of his desire to move to the Premiership. After weeks of rumours, Hargreaves revealed in German sports magazine Bild that he is ready to complete the switch.

"The offer from United is fantastic," he said. "It's especially enticing for me as an England international, and you never know if the opportunity will present itself again. It's time for me to take the next step and develop myself further. (General manager) Uli Hoeness knows what a unique opportunity this is for me."

Bayern are loath to sell the versatile midfielder, who was voted England's best player at the World Cup. A club spokesman said on Wednesday lunchtime: "I have just spoken with Uli Hoeness and he is absolutely clear that selling Owen is not an issue.

"He has recently signed a three-year contract extension and will be fulfilling that deal. I think what Mr Hoeness says is enough to end any speculation. Owen Hargreaves will be staying with us for the remainder of the four years on his contract."

OK i have some ideas to what the United starting 11 will be, but all seem to far fetched. We'll be missing scholes and Carrick(both whould have started this weekend). We're also missing rooney

the keeper and defense look simple

---------------EDVS---------------
Neville------Rio-----Vidic------Gabi

then there is the midfield, where the outsides are set in stone(or as it seems)

Ronaldo-?-?-Giggsy

who fills those two central midfiel spots, we can try smith in there if he is match fit, theres also O'shea:rolleyes: , then Park. Also you could see maybe Fletcher(but nobody wants that!).

the forwards look decent as well as the Defense

Saha------Rossi/Ole

but it seems like SAF has a puzzle on his hands, what do you guys think Sundays starting XI will be?

Bardsley is quite good. I'd like to see him takeover from Neville in the RB role come 2-3 years time. The problem would be keeping him at United for that long since he'd most likley be on the bench. Haven't seen much of Lee Martin but what i saw in one pre-season match looked quite decent for his age. U've got two good'uns there Nelly!

Bardsley is fantastic. he alone will make me watch rangers games. he is a very aggressive right back, and gets dug into his opponent really well. not afraid to tackle, and in general will tear the opposition a new one. great player. i like that he will be under the supervision of le guen. good stuff.

Bardsley is very promising. Seriously, his solo performance against Tottenham at the OT was fucking superb to say the least, he broke every attack from their left in half. It a fucking great move by SAF to not send him to the Championship/Sheffield etc but to a decent team like Rangers.

Fergie reveals Owen Pursuit

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he has been chasing Owen Hargreaves since before the World Cup.

Ferguson confirmed his interest in the Bayern Munich man for the first time on Friday, as he looks to bolster his squad.

Hargreaves has indicated he would be interested in a switch to Old Trafford, as he looks to fulfil his dream of playing in England.

Bayern are adamant that Hargreaves is not for sale and that he will see out his contract until 2010.

Ferguson is hoping a compromise can be reached to sign Hargreaves, but conceded his performances at the World Cup have made it harder to do a deal.

"We first enquired about Owen before the World Cup," Ferguson told MUTV.

"What he did in the tournament was a nightmare. I knew it would happen - it happens all the time.

"The boy wants to come, so we hope to be able to do something."

United star John O'Shea has welcomed the club's interest in Hargreaves and believes he would be a valuable addition to the squad.

"Owen would be a good addition," O'Shea said.

"There were lots of question marks around him before the World Cup, but he showed in Germany what a quality player he is.

"Obviously, Bayern Munich are going to try to hold on to him, so we will just have to wait and see but he is a quality player."

Never. Defensivness is against our club's history, and style of play. It would be a discrase to every Manchester United player/fan in our history/present if we played defensivly.

Also, the best way to beat Barca is to be extreme. To beat Braca we would have to challange every player that got the ball to shake them up, and prevent them from playing their passing game effectivly.

painful...club history is not a reason to do anything. expected effectiveness is a reason. you can't have your judgements clouded by "well we've never done it before, we can't start now" attitudes. instead you have to take it situation by situation. i doubt it is a very valid formation but it works if you want hargreaves scholes and carrick on the field at the same time. what's the other choice? ronaldo, rossi and saha?

scholesy is horrible out left and we'd have very little width. nah. 4-5-1 is more a possibility than you'd like to admit.

I can sleep peacefully tonight...the chemistry between Roon and Ron is still very much active...and Scholesy proved that he can still cut it at the highest level. Plus I saw this piece of trivia in the Manutd.com match report:

Attendance: 75, 115 (United and Premiership record)

This will hopefully increase our income further...and give Sir Alex more money to build another massive squad with.
