Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has reaffirmed his commitment to the club, in the hope of dispelling the mounting speculation about his future.

Media reports in Spain allege that Ancelotti could be in line for a switch to Real Madrid in the summer, but the man in question has dismissed the suggestions.

"I really feel good at Milan," he told Sky Italia. "There is a good feeling at the club, and I've always felt affection towards them.

"I've never been close to Real Madrid and I've never been tempted to leave. The two clubs spoke because I am still under contract and (vice-president Adriano) Galliani has been quick in offering me the renewal."

Milan edged past Lyon in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals this week, and Ancelotti revealed that last season's dramatic loss to Liverpool, when they lost the final after going 3-0 up, has provided an added incentive to go one better this season.

"That is the stimulus for us to get to the final this year, just like we said after that match one year ago. And now we are really close to it."

Milan face Barcelona in the last four, while Arsenal take on Villarreal in the other semi, but Galliani believes that the draw has been unfair to his side.

The Rossoneri official has argued from the beginning of the season that teams should be properly seeded for the competition.

"The Champions League semi-finals are unbalanced. Milan, who are first in the European rankings, have to play Barcelona, while in the other match there will be a clash between the eighth and sixteenth clubs in the rankings," he explained.

I don't understand why would they do that but...Good for both Juve and Inter.

If milan goes on to win CL (which won't happen)...he'll stay or Milan would want him to stay.
Since they won't, Milan would look for someone else to take them the one extra step.
So my guess is he won't be there at milan(atleast not AC) next year.

After Istanbull I realy wanted him out. But I have a different feeling now adays. During Milan-Lyon while it still was 1-1 I was thinking that if we go out tonight it might very well be Carlos last match with us and I it made me realy sad. I guess I like him more than I tought.

I think Milan need some change so sacking Ancelotti can be a good solution.
btw, nice picture of him :p

Personally i think he'll be there next season. Who would we hire? It remains to be seen whether or not Donadoni will still be the ex-Livorno manager next season.

I think he's proved to most fans and the managment that he's still a shrewd coach after his subs in the Milan-Lyon game. Of course, had they not worked, he'd have been out the door before he got on the bus home.

Sacking the coach who won the CL twice with this club will be difficult at the end of the season, but i believe it's time for a change. Will a good replacement be available is a question which remains unanswered.

Donnadoni did a good job in Livorno, but ac milan isn't Livorno. The pressure and the expectations are much higher.

A change will benefit both carlos and the club.Whether he stays or not, we'll always remember him for winning the CL twice.

*And for those of you wondering when was the second time, it will be this may:p

Actully I think Carlito is good for milan , specially after last match with lyon..
What made this season started bad is the Injuries ..
and it took the team time to be conditioned with the new situation ..

Milan Managment is kind , they won't fire him even if he loose with Barc ( just a probablity ) barca can't do it :p ..

He should leave, Milan needs a fresh approach. As for no replacements available, there is a certain PSV manager leaving his post at the end of the season...

Sacking the coach who won the CL twice with this club will be difficult at the end of the season, but i believe it's time for a change. Will a good replacement be available is a question which remains unanswered. Here in Milan we deeply hope to win the Champions League. Due to a bad beginning of season, no way we're going to win the Championship and we were eliminated from the national cup. If he'll win the Champions League, he'll obviously stay here but, even if we'll lose against Barça, the managment will not fire him. He's got a quite good reputation, and he was a member of Sacchi's dream-team; these are two points in favour of Ancelotti. However, I think a change can only happen when even some players leave AC Milan. Shevchenko, Maldini, Costacurta and - in my opinion Rui Costa - are the pillars of the team, and they're rather old.

Donnadoni did a good job in Livorno, but ac milan isn't Livorno. The pressure and the expectations are much higher. If AC Milan will put on Donadoni, it will make the same mistake Inter did buying Mancini. He's young and inexperienced.

A change will benefit both carlos and the club.Whether he stays or not, we'll always remember him for winning the CL twice.

*And for those of you wondering when was the second time, it will be this may:pI appreciate your optimism, but the key is to win against Barça. And Barça isn't Olympique Lyonnais or Bayern München. However, as we say in Italy, hope is the last to die. :)

Milan needs something to kick them into gear again. I'd usually attribute the kind of attitude they seem to have now to the manager but I'm not so sure at this stage due to the aging of the squad as Duca di Salaparuta points out.

It's a really nasty puzzle laid out here, there's a lot of pieces that need adjustment at the moment and there's almost certainly some stormy seas coming in the next few years.

I know Ancelotti is excellent, but sometimes even the best get tired and he's looked it a bit this season, I've even noticed some rather bizarre facial ticks/habits/mannerisms. It may be best if he has a rest :) I hope he's in good health and I'm just reading too much into a few camera shots from the sidelines during stressfful matches

ya I think so mate.... I think the game will kick off and it will be a open game at one point....ronni againts maldini will just have to wait till next week.. but as for ancellotti I think he will be around next year...despite what happens in the CL... but he does have a good chance to redeem himself 4 last years\misery....

You are right about that, Duca. But a.c milan aren't chelsea or benfica either.I don't believe barca are unstoppable.A very good team yes, but unstoppable? No way!!!

If you want to win the CL, you have to play against the best at some point. The same goes for barca.I'm sure they would prefer to play against villareal, but the time has come for them to play against a great club.

A.C Milan need to win the first leg.If they do,they can definitely score an away goal.

Believe me.Never underestimate A.C Milan;)

Believe me.Never underestimate A.C Milan;)I simply cannot understimate Milan, it's my team. :D I'm just realist. You know, Milan is one of the most powerful teams in Europe, but we've lost against Deportivo in 2004 and against Liv'pool in 2005. These were not two of the most powerful teams in Europe... But Barça does. We need to pay attention, most of all in the second game, because against Deportivo and Liv'pool we didn't keep the score.

P.S.

I'm very afraid about Milan-Barça. Yesterday it was possible to buy the tickets for the match, but the system of Intesa bank - the most important Milan's tickets reseller - didn't work in Milan. Thus, lots of people, including me, in Milan couldn't buy any ticket. :(
