Internazionale's president has hinted that coach Roberto Mancini may be on his way out following the side's shock UEFA Champions League exit to Villarreal.
President Giacinto Facchetti and Inter fans reacted angrily to the performance, which saw their side crash out 1-0 in Spain.
Supporters complained to the team at Valencia and at Milan's airport for not putting up a fight and Facchetti has echoed their views.
He said: "It's incredible that only in the last five minutes did the team show any sort of reaction.
"I don't want to talk about singular players and I don't want to make any predictions for the future because when we do we fail.
"I will talk with Mancini in the next few days even if I don't decide to change everything again."
Mancini was visibly disappointed after the game and took sole responsibility for the display.
"We didn't do enough. We had to score a goal to go through, and we didn't do it, but my guys did their best.
"We had a good chance to get to the semi-final and Villarreal aren't any better than us. I'll have to evaluate things.
"I think the coach must take responsibility for what happens. The responsibilities are mine."

Mancini has done the best he could with a team full of INDIVIDUALS, who wouldn't play together with great team spirit, no matter who was in charge. Inter were never going to win the Champions League anyway, and Villareal are a very good side. Mancini should keep his job and be allowed to buy some team players :)

I voted for no. Dont know if sacking coach would change anything. I would give him one more season.

I voted no as well, because I think the people at the club blame the players much more than Mancini...or so they should. Inter are playing the best football in years under Mancini and it would be madness to sack him. Instead, Inter needs wholesale changes to its squad and get Adriano playing consistently.
Inter should change their tactics for once, and keep a coach.I really don't know what is going on with this club.No matter how much money moratti spends, they never achieve anything.
He bought the best coaches money could buy in the past, but they all failed:rolleyes:

He has to be sacked:mad:
Exactly!
Look what happened with Edgar Davids last year.
The president bought him, then Mancini didn't want him.

He has to be sacked:mad:
the problem with Inter has been a lack of continuity...so no. sacking their manager would be a big mistake.

I think he's done a decent job this season. He had an out of form Adriano, who is the best goalscorer he had. I think they should keep him, but if they find a better coach why not sack him?

But who's going to replace him, until they know of a replacement or at least have a good idea, they should keep him. The words "it can't get any worse" are legend when it comes to biting you in the ass

I don't think Moratti will sack him. I know Facchetti is the president but nothin goes down without Morratti. Besides, he blamed the players after the Villareal game, not Mancio.

The issue is with Morratti. He continues to medle with what he believes is best for the team. As long as that continues they will always be losers. They need to clean house.
Veron, Mihajlovic, C.Zanetti is a start. Hopefully their is more to come.

No. The last thing Inter needs is changing coach again. They finally have some continuity no need to change the entire system. For me Inter this season have improved in some areas especially in defense. Had adriano and Martins played to their potential ( especially Adriano) Inter would have done much better. They need to buy a player that can get Adriano to work like he does in the brazilian NT. Inter plays a flat midfield with wingers, they dont have a real link with the strikers. They need to buy a player of that sort.

I voted yes. Inter should not be getting knocked out of the Champions League by Villareal with all due respect to them. They have fantastic players and I think they just need a coach that is capable of putting things together. Perhaps they need one or two more players in key positions but to me the coach has not proved himself enough. I am bitter with the loss since I was looking forward to a Inter x Arsenal matchup. For some reason I feel the same way about Mancini as I do with Ancelotti, I don't see them as great coaches, when things get tough the superstar players they have make the difference. My point basically is Mancini and Ancelotti leave a lot to be desired IMO.

he is doing hes best , the problem is the team soul ..
he should be allowed to choose some players as well ..
and they have to have some Italian Players , which care about the Club.

Hey man, if Real can't find a top class manager then nobody else can. Think about it for a second. How many great master tacticians are left in the world?! Capello won't move from Juve, Mourinho won't move from Chelsea, Rafa won't move from Liverpool and etc.
Mancini is one of the young managers who still has a lot to learn and a lot to offer. If AC Milan with their CL winning manager and world's top two forwards(Sheva and Kaka) can't bring down Juve, then why would you expect Mancini to pull it off?
The problem with Inter was their forward line this season. Adriano and Martins didn't returned the manager's trust.
Again, I say keep him.

That's only part true. The main problem was the midfield, they just don't have anyone to deliver the balls and set up plays for Adriano. They need someone to get him going. The only more active player I see in their midfield is Zanetti, but that's far from enough.
Fire Mancini. He does not have personalities and characteristics and qualities to coach Great Inter. As a true fan I want Hector Cuper back. Dont even think I am crazy. Inter has the best performences in the last 17 years when Cuper was the coach. All he needs is a little more support from the Board.

Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini, whose players were attacked by fans at the weekend, said he would leave Italian soccer when his time at the Serie A club ends.
Inter's Argentine captain Javier Zanetti and Italian midfielder Cristiano Zanetti were punched and kicked by fans at Malpensa airport, near Milan, as they returned from Saturday's Serie A win at Ascoli.
First Inter fans are racist then they are sore losers (flares) then racist again and now this what is wrong with them ? There are some things in this world I just dont understand and Intermilanos are one of them.

Who knows what `d happen if they sack Mancini, the 1st way if they sack him out - next ssn we `d have a new team, new relations and so on, but by the other hand if he stay with Inter - itll b another crashed, failed, unsucessful season for tifosi and everybody,Mancini is Not a Real One Coach which Inter needs as air or so...
i voted 4 Yes,coz i wanna see a real good game form from my favorite team, strong team spirit ,when players r addicted to win , another TIM Cup is nothing for the team like Inter
We need a good, hard discipline, Hidding or Zac r the good candidates

Why sack him, he seems to be doing a good job at the moment. People are too quick to blame the manager, there used to be a time when people would praise the manager for coming 3rd in the league.

First off, there are many racist fans in Europe (not that I'm one of them). I do not condone that type of behavior whatsoever.
I'm not gonna make excuses either for the recent incidents concerning fans either. Obviously they were idiots, and unfortunatley Inter fans.
It just pisses me off when Juve fans and others try to make statements that aren't true, about a club that is currently going through a crisis.
I certainly don't think the of the players/owner/staff are "idiots" (with the exception of Veron). I think too much has been expected from a club that has been struggling for the past 12 years.
I think we need a new play maker..not Pizarro.
And in the event we do a mediocre job next season, we need a coach.
Keep Manicini, get Mutu to play with Adriano.

Yes, I pretty much watch every Inter, Juve, and AC game during the weekends.
Why do you ask?
Oh thats right you're a Juve fan.....

And not that Mutu is a realistic target, but he played well paired with Adriano... why not try to get him?

Mancini isn't going anywhere. He is a good coach. I don't know why people are being so harsh? If he wins the Italian Cup this year, which he probably will, that'll guarantee his stay 100%.
If they decide to let him go, I think there is a chance that he'll be in Bernabeu next year.

why not? he is obviously talented enough to get jobs at Lazio and Inter. He has experience in european football, unlike Luxemburgo and Lopez Caro. And honestly I don't think any other coach could do better with Inter this season. His main strikers wouldn't score goals.

inter should keep the coach.
we need to keep players and coaches to instill commitment and loyalty. Then would they start playing for the club instead of themselves.
