porto won in the end :/
great champion for the superliga
hope we can keep lucho gonzalez.
if quaresma gets to be more regular in terms of his performances, then we can make good things in CL

Won't be surprised at all if Quaresma ends up going to another top tier team outside of Portugal.
I rather him stay in Portugal though.
Quaresma is a great player but he should have been sent off during the Sporting game! The referee made some pretty dumb decisions as far as I'm concerned.
Too many yellow cards up front and then on the real dangerous plays he decides to let them go? How dumb was that!
Why is it that during every derby the game never finishes with 11 on each side? The refs in Portugal need to improve drastically.

there a reason why no Portuguese refs aren't headed to the World Cup.

This was a pretty tense game. I enjoyed it, even if the goal was somewhat lucky with the ball hitting the bar at the right angle.

All I can say is that it is still mathematically possible for me to say "Campeões Campeões nós somos Campeões" so don't count your chickens before they hatch!
It's been a very tight season and eventhough there aren't many games left it's still possible for Porto to lose games and Sporting to catch up. The only sure thing is that Benfica will not be the champions this year!;)

right mathematically not but if you believe, that anyone than Porto would win the championship, than your dreamer!?
5 pts in front and the better avg vs SCP, meaning Porto has to loose from the last 4 games 2!!!
let's see
PORTO
Match day 31 - Leiria (home)
Match day 32 - Pendafiel (away)
Match day 33 - Guimarães (home)
Match day 34 - Boavista (away)
Sporting
Match day 31 - Amadora (away)
Match day 32 - Naval (home)
Match day 33 - Rio Ave (away)
Match day 34 - Braga (home)
well it's like 4 home ties for Porto 2 at the Dragão 2 Derbies. Leiria is a safe game (Maciel suspended lol) Penafiel (allready in 2 Liga) the only 2 tuff games against Vitoria and Boavista, don't see this happening. Don't forget that Sporting have to win their games and Paulo Bento have to gave them confidence back, after they lost agains Porto.
Honestly i'm sorry for Sporting they played the most attractive football last year and lost everything in like 1 week the Title and then the UEFA Cup Final ohh yeah the cup on penaltys against Benfica, wich they played better than the reds.
And this year again so close but "niente" <-- (tambien para todos hermanos entender alguna cosa lol)
That amazing run the last months came too late, they should had sacked Peseiro earlier and they should blame themself, on the worst moment they put the president elections?!
They won every week the past time, but what's on the agenda every day on the news? Who steps in for the president campaign and Liedson injured, or Deivids private problems.
They didn't even resolve the contract situation with Polga, since christmas, why? cuz they making a mess on everything these days, who's leading this club??
Porto champion and Sporting runner up (this was my bet in the beginning of the season)
Benfica gonna get the 3rd place wich is pretty good  not for their ambitions but for the crap they play every week, it's another miracle they let Braga behind them.

Campeões 2006!
Forca Porto!
:)
...
Quaresma might be suspended for 2 games...
Call me a dreamer but we'll have to wait and see. I know the chances are against us. If Porto win the championship then that's okay with me. I just wonder how the game would have finished if the Referee had made his calls differently.
If Quaresma is getting a 2 game suspension for what he did in the game, doesn't that make you wonder why the Ref didn't give him the second yellow and red during the game?
Anyways, I won't argue about bad refs cause it's not going to change for a while and I guess all teams have to put up with it for now. They must play great football and hope the refs do their job! ;)

the ref didn't saw that Quaresma touched friendly wise Tonels leg :) (the Brits on this page would say stand up you wanker) if so it would be a send off. He showed the entire 90 mins. that he had the guts. But if he entends that this was intentinal then it's a red card no doubt. (btw Quaresma played bad and even he would be sent off it didn't change a thing)
But it's not the Refs fault that Sporting lost. He didn't make bad calls, he just showed way too many cards from the beginnig, to make a point, but couldn't stop anymore, he was like on fire . (so he judged both sides the same way)
Well now he gets a 2 game suspension (but who wonders in Portugal about this?!)
How come he gets suspended and Petits foul against Marcinho 1 day later, dunno if he allready left the hospital :D, dont? That type of fouls are fuxxing dangerous from behind.
Not just the refs are bad in Portugal the discipilinary comitee are the worst, these old pricks!! As we say it in Portugal "sumaríssimos" are unacceptable you can not suspend one time, player A and one day later player B for the same action not.
P.S. I will close my msg with the best wishes for Co Adrianse, wich mother past away :(
