Nothing serious by the looks of it. I just hope this does not interfere with the fantastic form he has displayed as of late.

Hopefully it's nothing major. There hasn't been any news regarding it, at least not on the sites I visit...
And r9ronaldor9, how can you say he played a crap game? He scored a goal, isn't that what he's supposed to do? Hell, even Baptista and Casillas came out after the game and said that he played well, but the rest of the team didn't support him.

Can it be any easier than it already is—Go to "Site News and Suggestions" section. There's plenty of explanation threads.

Whaat?? For the sake of not getting into a discussion, let's just say I disagree, he played a very good game. He scored once and hit the post before he came out at the 60 minute mark. If he had played the rest of the game I predict he would have scored more. And he was doing what Real fans seem to love to see him do.....running back and playing defense.

Good to have it confirmed. He's got a great form at the moment, would be a shame for him to get injured.

so i am relieved that his injury is not that bad. real need him badly to secure the second place. imagine villareal win the champions league, if real finish forth, they won't qualify for next year.

you know, i think this guy would be less injury prone, and a still better player than he already is, if he dropped 12 lbs. what a talent though.

Heard that he 's gonna be out for about three weeks, could anyone confirm that????
I didn't have a chance to watch this match, anyway I did see the goal he scored. He's only one who could guess the direction of the ball and take a directly shot. what an amazing :D
Hope that he'll get well soon !!!

MADRID, April 10 (Reuters) - Real Madrid striker Ronaldo will be out of action for up to three weeks with a muscle tear in his right thigh, the Primera Liga club said on Monday.
The Brazil international scored his 100th goal for the club against Real Sociedad on Saturday, before limping off early in the second half. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
After a season blighted by injury Ronaldo looked to be returning to form with Saturday's goal, his fourth in as many games, and with the World Cup on the horizon.
Being Real's leading scorer with 14 goals, Ronaldo will be sorely missed in the battle for second place in the league and direct qualification to the Champions League next season.
Barcelona lead the standings on 70 points with six games to go. Valencia are level with Real on 59 points, but second due to their superior head-to-head record. Osasuna are fourth with 58.

Real Madrid's officiall site says that he will be out for 2 weeks. That means he will miss the leaguematches against Getafe (Away) and Malaga (Home).
It's a shame for Ronaldo because he showed that he was a player to count on.
Very bad but now Cassano can show what he can do.
Hala Madrid!

Having the ball is not a measurement of how well a striker plays. I will repeat it again, everyone—press and his teammates—said he played well in that game. Therefore either you're completely ignorant or you have a problem with Ronaldo, whichever it is, you're not being objective here. It's fans like you (and worse) that discourage him from playing well and staying at Real.
Shame about his injury, I hope it's not going to be more than 2 (3) weeks.
Whoever said he needs to lose weight to become less injury prone: his injuries started back when he was very agile and fit, so I don't see how his weight is related to this.

he has been injured (same problem) quite a few times this season, other than this,he last 3 seasons in Madrid has injury free.
looks like he will out up to 3 weeks.

I also agree 100%. The sites in Spain (As.com, Marca.es) all say he will be out for the 3 weeks.
As for him losing weight, it's true he has had problems since his days with PSV but surely losing some weight could only help him.

this is a heavy below for real madrid, who is gonna score the goals now? and the bad thing is that ronaldo will most likely finish the season wit less than 20 goals which will be the first time for that his done that for real madrid.
well its been very bad season his only played wat 24 games??? but he still remained consisten when it came to goal scoring.
hope he doesn't get injured in the world cup becouse that would be really shit.

I wish that Ronaldo leaves RM at the end of the year.
The spanish fan are ignorants, the managers as well.
Vanderlei Luxemburgo just won the Paulista championship, what I belive that RM wouldn't be on the top 5 of the board. He made a champion team from unknow players, and the Brazilian media are saying that he maybe will be the next brazilian national soccer coach.

I am pretty sure he will leave Real Madrid after the world cup.Its pretty clear yeh i got a feeling too, mind you if he plays well in the world cup and shed a couple of pounds, real madrid may not want to let him go.
What about a Adriano for Ronaldo swap? I think that's on the cards as well...

After the world cup, what team do you think he would go to? Realistically what big team do you think would want Ronaldo now (except Inter)? I don't think he is like Rivaldo that went to play in Greece. Ronaldo would only want to play for a big team and would want to be a main striker (maybe Chelsea, as they are looking for strikers but I don't think Ronaldo can fit in with mourinho so cross that out).

I believe inter said they would only buy ronaldo and would not sell adriano..
as for which club besides inter I think he'll end up at Brazil...

Ronaldo always shine in the world cup, no doubt about that. I just want to see the starting line up of Brazil. Which of the R's would be left out? Would it be Adriano? My guess is that Robinho might get the shaft. 'Cos Ronaldhinho, Kaka and Emerson would be starters, so it would be left among R9, Adriano and Wonder kidho.
Besides right now, R.Madrid needs R9 because at this time of the season, he is the one always saving our ass. He was hitting form and now this setback. I can't trust Raul as our CF ... no way ... even though Casano is not a real CF by nature, I would prefer to see him play. Caro has shown that he is a good coach but he lacks one thing ... EXPERIENCE. The starting line up he had used in certain big matches made me realise that there is a difference between good, great and world class coaches (not that I didn't know that but sometimes you just have to be reminded in the most painful way).
I would really like to know our coach for next season. I have a feeling that ERIKSSON and HITZFIELD are two very top candidates on the list. No matter how you look at it, those two would have to be included considering that many great managers are tied to their club and they don't want to touch R.Madrid after all the Perez stuff and with the kind of players we have (Mourinho and Capello have made it clear that they don't really like galacticos).

Real should just play Robinho at CF or SS until Ronaldo comes back instead of playing him on the left-wing. In Brasil most of Robinho's incredible plays came from the center of the field or the right side which is why I don't understand why he continues to be glued on the left side. He is a player that needs freedom to move around the field like he did in his first game against Cadiz. I like the way Real look when they go offensive and start Guti and Baptista in the CM spot instead of using a true DM like Graveson. I think they will be fine and grab 2nd place if they use a line up like this: Casillas;Cicinho,S.Ramos,Bravo/Mejia,R.Carlos;Guti,Baptista,Beckham,Zidane;
Robinho and Raul
