who do you think has been the best man utd player this season, basing your vote on performances rather than what the media say or their reputation.
edit: i was going to put wes brown, saha and smith but they havent played too many matches this season and i only have 10 options, if you want to vote for them vote for other and specify who is your choice.

yes i think silvestre is an unsung hero and asissts more than you'd imagine, plus he had a chance to leave united for lyon or marsielle (cant remember) but he stayed to battle for a place with Hienze and Evra.
but
Rooney runs non stop for us, chases every ball and goes for every tackle he can. he is the sort of striker that defends when the team needs him to, battles in midfield and sets up whoever is his strike partner. he get my vote.

silvestre shouldn't even be on the list. there isn't even a doubt. if giggs had scored a few more goals I'd start to think about it, but this is too automatic for me.

vds lost it on that stupid goal at blackburn? where him and rio got confused and rio headed it back and into the goal....i blame vds. don't remember which game it was. but think it was blackburn.

I voted Gary Neville. He has been very consistent all season long in the right flank. Roonie, rvn, Ronaldo have all played some games in which they looked really non-existant at times but this guy has been there week in week out. Has been a lot threatning going forward this season.

I actually think its between Roon and Eddie, despite the couple blunders he had this season. just think of how much more confident the team is knowing that they have a first rate keeper back there instead of Roy Can't Catch Carroll. having him between the sticks is such a relief, I am so much more confident in the back line now and how many times has he come through with a big save to raise confidence or save our arses when we needed it.
Roon for obvious reasons, has been brilliant this season. he hasn't scored as many screamers as last season (like that volley against castle for example), but he is still terrorizing defenses and scoring goals. and also, although this gets overlooked, his passing game has been great this season (look at park's goal last week for example), and he is very unselfish.
tough call between those two, but I think Roon nudges out on top.
Rooney, great player and has been great this season. If he gets his form right in european club football Man Utd shouldn't have a problem getting past the Group stages. Hope he carry's the form into the world cup but plays crappy next season. :p

sylvest is a good player. but if the manager keeps him on and off, it's pretty hard for him to perform well.
but, i think rooney is the best player for man utd this year.

But how many times has Van der Sar saved our asses this season...? Many many times. Can't just blame it on him for just that mistake alone.
For me it's between Rooney and Van der Sar, probably Rooney after seein his performance against Arse.
Oh and Silvestre has been performin very well at left back. That ball to Rooney on Sunday, brilliant.

Manager kept him out? I remember him left out for silly mistakes he made. I am glad he is left back again, atleast oppositions dont piss on our defence anymore.

For me it's Ronaldo. He had a very bad beginning, but I don't blame him, cause he had a lot on his mind. he came back really strong and I can't wait for the Wolrd Cup. The guy is going to be on fire!

ruud is still the better striker imo
yes rooney is in top form, but he finds himself out of position sometimes...
and his finishing is better, and his tally is higher.
and i think park bloomed late. hes an attacking mid, and hadnt scored many, btu is now coming out of his shell..!

He will come back and he will comeback stronger.
trust me i hope soo too, but what really is the chance that he will comeback stronger. An injury like this is a horrid one. It will take some work and i think he'll be back on the pitch, but hes going to think twice on tackles, and what i really like about smudge is his fearless atitude...

he scores goals but his al round performance is terrible, we play better football with saha and he isnt credited for that because he isnt exactly as high profile. but it has to be rooney, just a magnicent tallent, i would praise him the same if he wasnt a man united player.

Rooneys the obvious choice but I picked Ryan Giggs. He did the job early in the year in the CL before we went out and imo he was the reason we went on that good run the last couple of months. Without him as playmaker in the middle it would have fallen apart.
Doesnt get the credit he deserves imo.

I would have said Rooney but after giving some thoughts,
Park deserves it. He's running like a mad dog every game. Give him credit for working so hard! :D

evidently saha wasnt an option, went with rooney rather than other. Roon seems less frustrating and more excellent this year than last, and apparently (to me) i see him honing his skills to a fine point with every game, which is really cool to watch! I think of a cooler more consistent Rooney and think yeah maybe United can win the Champions League in next couple of years, and maybe England will win the World Cup. But for this year, Saha gives so much more variety up front, i think in training teams are trying to concentrate on how to play against Ruud, and arent training to play vs Saha's dare I say it - Henry-esqe - style? I don't like arsenal *nervously* heh heh but um wow Les Invincibles were really excellent to watch, and I'm glad it was United that ended their run..so much different than the plod plod tick tock punch in punch out style of Chelski.

rooney is the obvious answer, but i voted for park cuz he's a consistant hard worker, wins balls, and rarely gives them up to the opposition.
