I thought we should've scored 2 goals to let Dennis substitute on. and when his entrance is welcomed by conceding a goal, I just thought he was so unlucky....
no need to describe what happened next. It's amazing! It's moving!
so, who's there at Highbury? Tell us more stories. The stand full of orange is those reportedly travelling Ajax fans or just local?

Regardless of my love towards Arsenal :p . Dennis Bergkamp is a legend indeed, one heck of a player . And the first touch don't get me started. I respect him as a player. :)

Cometh the hour, cometh the Iceman.
"Dennis Bergkamp has a maximum of seven games left before he calls time on his illustrious career. The 36-year-old Dutchman is held in such esteem that the Highbury faithful wanted Supporters’ Day to be dedicated to the legendary striker.
And in the penultimate minute of a tense, fraught game, Dennis Bergkamp capped Dennis Bergkamp Day with a trademark curler form the edge of the area. "
He scored one and had one assist :)
AND he only played 18.min !!!

He is special. He is God's gift to the game of Football. And whatever happened today, SIMPLY MARVELLOUS. And Yes, looking forward to Arsenal making it to the Champions League Final and Bergkamp playing a part in it. Also the Bergkamp Testimonial. Will really miss Bergkamp from the next Season. But, for now, lets hope Arsenal bag the fourth spot in the Premier League and also make it BIG in Europe.
Hail Bergkamp. Hail Arsenal.

I was there :) Clock End Block 20 Row 1 Seat 111 :) What a day for the Ice Man with him scoring, shame i missed his goal as i left 5 mins from the end to try and beat the rush on the tube :( I also missed Hleb's goal as i went to get a drink just before half time. Same damn thing happened when i was at the Fulham game near the begining of the season.

i missed his goal....I also missed Hleb's goal.
If your spell works so well, try it next time :P
maybe it's the advantage of watching tv that we don't have the crowd to avoid. but we couldn't know what happened before the match. the day's match programme is for Bergie. what did you all do there?
btw, I'm not sure we won't miss him next season. It seems van Persie has learnt less than Cesc from Bergie in terms of teamwork and clever pass.

So i'm going to go on a spiel. A very small one. Mind you, I am not an arsenal, inter, or ajax fan. I have no reason to love dennis bergkamp because of loyalty to a club team. I confess to bleeding oranje, but forget that for awhile too.
Dennis Bergkamp is first and foremost quality. We use this word too much in football I think. Quality in the sense that a ball delivered to bergkamp from 5 meters or from 40 meters lands on the same perfectly controlled foot, whether left or right. A ball to bergkamp is a ball handled as if it were the only egg of a first time mother sparrow. It's after this initial touch that its perfection becomes evident, as the calm and cool propietor of this perfectly cradled ball becomes the embodiement of execution. The ball ends up at the back of the net, and we knew it from the moment he first touched it. It's as if dennis sees what will happen in the future, and then the rest of the world just catches up. I cried when he scored in 98 against argentina in the semifinal, we were all at that moment witness to the genius of a man to whom football is forever in debt.

Bergkamp has been an exceptional player for his club. His first touches are awesome, I have great respect for him as a player, regardless of the fact that he plays for arsenal. Sensatinoal player.

I believe Ziegler1988 was at this game actually :)
I was :).
I was in North Bank Lower, so Bergy scored at the opposite end, but it was absolute magic.
Outside of the stadium they handed out free orange shirts with DB10 written on them (my family and I nicked about 6 of them :)). I proudly put it over my Bergkamp jersey and proceeded to my seat. There must have been at least 10,000 others wearing orange - it was great to look around the stadium and see orange everywhere.
When Bergkamp came out of the tunnel, everyone stood up and cheered for him. I got a few pictures of him warming up :).
Throughout the match we were all singing "There's only one Dennis Bergkamp" and "We've got Dennis Bergkamp", it was fantastic. When he came on we were all singing and then straight off WBA equalised :(.
However, DB10 saved the best for last and when he scored the whole stadium erupted. Couldn't ask for anything better for my first match at Highbury- we won and one of my favorite players ever scored a stunner.
I'm hoping Villarreal will be able to top it tomorrow though :D.

While everyone talks about the long ball from De Boer goal vs Argetina what about the cushion header he layed on for Kluivert to score in the first half of that game?! Stunning! Classic example of the touch he has, how much control he has over his body, not just the feet, everything. He absorbed the energy of that ball with his body a very weird osition to be absorbing anything, and just killed it.
Mr Right Foot Curls Inside the Far Post will never be forgotten, in fact, somebody extend the contract!

I think the reason is the timing of the final goal. To have that kind of cool confidence and to execute so perfectly in the 89th minute of a quarterfinal match in the world cup ... that's why people talk about it more. Because the goal was not only brilliant, it was brilliant brilliant at the 11th hour.

it was only fitting that he came on his day to make a trademark assist and score the type of goal that he has become synonymous with. what would be even more fitting is if he came on as a substitute and scored the winner to win us the champs lge and the only major club trophy he's missing

my video is 480x***. but as the camera is moving with Jens Lehmann, fans' faces are blurred. 3 seconds after that moment their faces are very clear to recognize but u r out of screen unfortunately.
