+1 for PSG and OM since the Federation has decided to give them back the points for the 0-0 that took place between those teams in last Febuary. So OM is only 3 points away from the third spot. Or 4 points if you consider the weak goalaverage. Will be difficult but if we keep on scoring goals like recentl, who knows...

Rennes have made a real late charge up the table.I quite like them and they've a few very good players.Kim Kallstrom is one that I like.
What's amazing about Rennes is the amount of games they have lost this season.........15! You have to go down the table to 15th position to find a team that has lost more matches. On the other hand, they've won more games than any other team, apart from Lyon.

They just don't like sharing points in ties. That's an understatement...........3 draws all season.I guess they're an all or nothing type of outfit.:)
Kallstrom is set to leave and rumours are that le guen wants him for Rangers!! Excellent news if it goes through.Get before his value goes up as he will have a good World Cup for Sweden,I'm sure.

Did anybody see the Jour de Foot highlights? It looks like Auxerre really mean business. I love it when teams are under pressure. Like Birmingham's 2-2 draw with Man Utd last year. That was a great game.
After the way Auxerre were beaten by "Droit ut but!!!!" I thought they might go down.

Lens were under pressure to score goals and now Dindane produces a brace. I really surprised no bigger club has bought him. I would have expected Portsmouth to make an offer :D
Now that the pressure is off for these teams I guess the championat will be boring next week.
And Canal+ was really taking a chance by puting a mic on that Lens supporter. I'm afraid of what would happen if MOTD did that with a premiership club......

Hopefully for you there are no Lens's fans here :D
Next week, there will be Marseille-Bordeaux
And Monaco-PSG, two teams who are fighting not to go down this season :p :D
The only thing I want this season is Lyon not to win again Ligue 1  even if it must be PSG the champion

For sure. Lens fans are among the most "german" fans in the league: meaning they have all the equipment (scarf, shirt, hat, flag, key-ring....), they clap their hands and they repeat what the speaker is saying :D . The kind of fans you won't have much problems with. So the risk was very thin. And no doubt it wouldn't be the same situation in England or Italy or even in some french clubs.
...even if it must be PSG the champion

I've just watched the 1st half of Bordeaux vs. Nice. I gotta say, I've been impressed with both teams. But what's with those TV5 commentators? Are they doing commentary from a pub or something? They just sit there and have a conversation. The other guy even started making voices  I still like to see Ligue 1 with French comm though.
After the L'Orient game, I really thought Bordeaux were awful but this is a good performance today. Darcheville looks like an impressive player. If he can hit double digits this season, he should be in the Euro 2008 French squad. Asamaoh doesn't get past 10 goals and he's always in the German squad.
I don't think Bordeaux will do well in the Champions League though. They don't look world class. Quarter-finals is my best prediction for them. And I just discovered that they don't have a Cameroonian

I didn't hear the TV5 comments but it sounds fun if you're in a pub :p
Darcheville is good and running fast cause he's got a center of gravity which is very down on his body... just look tha way he run. However, I don't think Domenech will take him in the french squad... but who knows...?
There is Marseille-Bordeaux this sunday and it would be a test for both teams! Can't wait for that game!

I just watched Jour du Foot and I'll say it again, I love teams under pressure!
All the teams this week were under pressure and they all won. Teams always seem to be under pressure in Ligue1 for some reason.
I'm not so sure I like the cameras in the dressing rooms. You might see something you didn't really want to see. The players somehow don't seem to mind.
And what's the big deal about Micoud? It's as if there were no midfielders at Bordeaux before he arrived. Now they always talk about him.

All the teams this week were under pressure and they all won. Teams always seem to be under pressure in Ligue1 for some reason.
Because french presidents don't like to see their clubs to be defeated twice in a row. So each time that happens the coach knows his job won't last much longer if they don't win the next game. Although most of the time the players are guilty. And those players were chosen by the president and not by the coach... If french clubs had real projects the coachs shouldn't be under pressure for so stupid reasons. When they let them work, results come at the end of the season. Look at Jean Fernandez at the beginning of last season with Marseille, or Claude Puel with Lille three years ago when those two clubs were at the bottom of the league.
This short term managemenent is typical of this league. Less stupid presidents and maybe we could see more good football.
And what's the big deal about Micoud? It's as if there were no midfielders at Bordeaux before he arrived. Now they always talk about him.
Bordeaux was one of the most boring team of the league last year. So Micoud was bought to bring something different. There were great expectations about his retun. But it doesn't really work for the moment that's why everybody talks about him. But Micoud is a fabulous player when he is in an attacking team. He's useless when there is only one player forward. He needs several offensive solutions to play at his best level, not just one. In the same time the boring system is the one that has allowed Bordeaux to be in Champions. So, looks like it is Micoud's duty to adjust himself to Bordeaux and not the opposite. As sad as it can be.
I'm not so sure I like the cameras in the dressing rooms. You might see something you didn't really want to see. The players somehow don't seem to mind.
It's a french tradition. But don't worry, now that Zidane is retired you won't see him taking a shot in the chest during the half-time anymore
But you're right, it's risky, remember Dorhasoo during the last World Cup :D

The problem was that he said he was making this film for himself, it wasn't supposed to be shown to the public. He says that there is only him in this film but who knows since no one has watched it yet?
When you are a member of a team, you don't do stuff like that. It's just about respecting your teammates. And it's the same for every team, french or not.
This guy is talented but he doesn't know what being part of a team means. And that's his major problem. But who cares? Let him ruin himelf.

Disappointing 2nd half for Marseille. They did not play with as much passion as they did in the first half.Towards the end of the match it got pretty boring.Nantes was not attacking at all, and OM lacked a cohesive offensive force. Also Carasso almost let in a bad goal. This really was a match Olympique de Marseille should have won, especially at home.
wow that valbuena is an annoying one isn't he?
IMO, pagis dropped back too often, and therefore rarely anyone was in the box. His passing is definitely a strong point, but if there's no one for the runner to pass to then what good does it do?
of course the best chance of the game he was actually in the box but had run too far
