Reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid have settled on Milan's Carlo Ancelotti as their next coach.
Real are looking to appoint a new boss in the summer to replace Juan Ramon Lopez Caro, who has been in interim charge since Wanderley Luxemburgo's exit midway through the season.
The Spanish titans have drawn up a list of seven names who could become the new boss, but it appears Ancelotti is the favourite.
A sports programme on Cadena Ser Radio trumpeted that Real had reached a deal to bring Ancelotti to Madrid at the end of the season.
The report suggested the move was in place and would be announced once Milan's involvement in the UEFA Champions League is at an end, which could be next week as they trail Barcelona 1-0 after the semi-final first leg.
There is also a claim that Real would not pay Milan any compensation for hiring Ancelotti, who has previously intimated a desire to coach Los Galacticos.
The programme also said that Ancelotti had made Arsenal captain Thierry Henry his prime transfer target.
Henry is still mulling over his long-term future with the Champions League semi-finalists and has been linked to Real and arch-rivals Barcelona.

Good then. Its always better to have a competition, isn't it? Why the hell did people started playing football if it wasn't for competition?

I'd rather see Caro or Sven on the bench next season. Ancelotti is so goddamn boring, Real will relegate to second divison. Spain is different than Italy. He might have had some success 2-3 years ago by playing boring ass football, but right now he can't win shit even in Italy by playing like that. Plus, he is not good for rebuilding the team. Look at current AC Milan team! It's like everyone is above 35!! ;)
Bad choice. Bad fucking choice. Sven is much better. So is Caro.

i really agree with that caro should stay, we should give him more time, it took fugerson 2 season before he won his first trophy for man u so we cant expect something to happen straight away we need time.
AS reported a few days ago that a Real Madrid representative travels to Milan every week to consult Ancelotti over the team's future transfers etc. One of his requests was that Ronaldo must STAY

lol. I wonder if Milan's ageing team, combined with a couple of long seasons has something to do with it. That he might feel that Milan are going to go through a rebuilding process and so he'd rather jump to a team before he gets fired for underpreforming...
Either way, he's a decent coach, and if RMA get him, they should do well. Barca would have some better competition, although i dont think the end result will be any different ;) :D hehehe

Somewhere i read that Fernando Martin said to the players that Ancelotti will be the coach next season.
By the way, Ancelotti signing an extention doesnt mean so much. Real Madrid can pay for Ancelotti, and of course the transaction shouldnt be so expensive with the AC Milan agreement. Maybe Milan forced Ancelotti to sign because of they want more money.
Lopez Caro is a joke, and a very bad one. He proved in the important games that he hasnt got the neccesary to manage Real Madrid. He was too much defensive against Valencia and Barcelona, when he was playing for stay alive at La Liga, and all the world saw Real Madrid against Arsenal.
The last choice for Madrid should be Lopez Caro.
Anyway, i think Ancelotti is a very good choice. He has the balls to play offensive football in Italy, and he proved all his talent in Parma, Juventus and AC Milan.
Ancelotti surely will bring to Madrid new players and will scream "you`re fired" to others. Juninho Pernambucano is in the Ancelotti`s dreams but i think he`s too old.
Ronaldo and Gravesen i think that are good players in the mind of Ancelotti so they will stay where they are now

I agree with es7eban BUT when Ancelotti came to Juventus he suddenly had no space left for Henry. He could pack his bags and Arsenal was (of course, with someone like Wenger) very keen on buying him. Will Henry come back to Ancelotti, even if at Real Madrid CF?
However, I still think that he is a good choice. Everybody has some bad luck (take a look at Man. United :D ), and it means shit that he did not qualify for the finals. The world saw a 50-50 match, and in the end, it was ONE player from Barca that beat Milan, Ronaldinho.
Ancelotti could turn things around, but people are saying that Jose Mourinho might be on the bench in the Santiago Bernabeu.........He is a manager of champions. He made a team champion for the fourth year in a row in two different competitions.
