I am travelling to England on July 14th and would definately like to visit Highbury before they close it. I was wondering if anyone knows if it will still be open for tours in July?

Or if not, will Ashburton Grove be open?

I am also travelling to Old Trafford so I will be sure to upload some pics after my trip, especially of the new stand.

if u can postpone it for 8 days, on July 22 it will be Bergy's testamonial in Ashburton Groves. u might see gunner stars past and present.

As for Highbury, I don't think it will still be open. But u better ask local londoners for further info.

No clue, but tours are very popular and I think they are sold out. If you can't get in, just walk down Avenell Road and get a feeling of all the history that you're looking at. It blows you away ;).
As for Bergy's testimonial, I'll bet that sells out rather fast too, so if you're still around on the 22nd I would get a Red Membership now and hope that tickets will still be available after the Gold and Silver members.
EDIT:
The last tour of the ground will be May 4.

Damn, last tour May 4th!

Thanks for the help though. I am actually not going to be around for the 22nd, which is a real shame as I think tickets will probably be available for that.

Anyone know when Ashburton Grove opens?

When I was in London, I walked past the Grove after the WBA match and it looked pretty good.
I'm sure with Bergkamp's testimonial a week after you're there, the stadium will be completed, but I don't know if they'll let you in.

was in England last year (May), and made the trek to Highbury... man what an experience... didn't get to do the tour... they were playing the evening (think that was the 7-0 game against Everton)... I love the area... will definitely have to check out the new digs when I go back... :D

Yeah, I hate that we sold the naming rights and I will always refer to it as Ashburton Grove or The Grove.

What will it be called now we can't say 'Highbury Library' - 'The Ashburton Silence', 'The Emirates Echo' ? ;)

good point! you just said what I want to say. I will do that for the next 15 years. But sadly enough, it's predictable that as Emirates will be its first name, and will be called by media for 15 years, people will get used to it by the end of that naming contract, especially those non-Arsenal fans will not understand what I'm talking w/o explanation.

Well our current ground is actually called Arsenal Stadium, but everyone calls it Highbury, so maybe we can get the same thing going at the Grove :).

sorry, I think that's because Highbury is its first name, and for tens of years, so that it became an unchangeable tradition. Renaming it to Arsenal Stadium was only in 1980's though I don't remember clearly.
Look at the situation of Reebok of Bolton, and Allianz of Bayern. I don't know what are their local names at all.
