bayern bought 1860's share of allianz arena for 11 mill Euros in order to save them from bankruptcy. hope this doesnt put a big dent in our transfer plans for the summer...

That was because otherwise they'd have to pay for the entire rent themselves, am I correct...

well there would have been a ton of consequences. first they would have been gone bankrupt and screwed us over by having bayern pay all the debts of the stadium. at least now they will be paying us rent instead of screwing themselves over too. not to mention that 1860 can buy back their shares for the 11 million plus 6.5% interest. that is assuming they can get back to the bundesliga. the stadium is now ours officially but we've taken on some more debt...

You can say that 11mio. € for half a stadium (one of the worlds best) is a good price, but they bought half of the debt (i think 300mio. € total) too.
I dont hope that it takes too much influence on your next transfers (or maybe i do hope it, but just a little *g*)

All in all im very sad that 1860 dropped that bad! They play 2nd League and their financial situation was very very close to bankrupt.
I´m not sure how much of this situation is caused by the old politics of the Wildmosers. I think the fall began after one of the Wildmosers was jailed because of corruption (was that 10million € for Alpina?).
I hope they find a decent president, ceo or whatever who leads them into a secure future!

I would like to see 1860 get things back togeather and make it back to Bundesliga 1. Hate to see any club like that just fold completely. Terrible thing to happen to any club.

About the transfer budget of Bayern dont worry you will have the transfer fee from Ballack to help with that. That will be a big chunk of change.

Ballack is out of contract this summer and will be going away for free

Does this not also mean that they get the share of rent that FIFA was to pay to 1860 as well for use of the stadium??

They're in big trouble financially, despite selling their AA shares. They have only 3-4 decent players and they're going to have to sell them to get a little bit of cash in and save the money from their wages. Obviously there won't be any money available for any serious transfers.
