the first one is obviously fake, as it's got an ollllld adidas logo, the second is fake, because the adidas logo is out of place. Look at the newcastle and chelsea kits. That's where teh adidas logo will go, and I'd suspect the scouser's kit will look like chelsea's, except it'll be red instead of blue

they're both fakes mate, the real one hasn't being officially released but I do have some inside word on it. It wont be as fancy, new age as the fakes, it will have the same liverpool badge as the current jersey and the non retro adidas logo. Maybe it's fake, but i like the first 'pool jersey. The bird's logo as background makes it cool. Too bad it's fake.

Guys, I'm assuming there'd be a short sleeved option for the Fulham jersey (i.e. without thumbholes). Besides, you don't have to use the thumbholes if it's really a big issue for you.

They were probably going for something unique, original and, whether or not your like the kits, they most certainly is...look, we're talking about it.

Actually, Chelsea were on Umbro, and opted out of their contract so that they could sign for Adidas.

If I'm not mistaken, Adidas bought out reebok, so they didn't really steal them fro reebok as much as they just moved them to the main brand..

I think you're thinking of 2002/2003. In 01-02, the away kit was white with black trim, and the third kit was gold with black trim, in honor of our centenary being known as Manchester United.

The 02-03 away kit was the all white one. It is very very nice. I've got a couple of them actually. The third kit from that season is probably my favorite non-home United kit ever made. The clue with the silver logo/name & numbers (it wasn't gold). God that thing just looked so amazingly great. I love it.

The new chelsea shirt isn't as good as the centenary shirt.... glad I got one :) It looks too monotonous, just blue/white.... also the adidas logo looks out of place.... too bad.... all my current chelsea stuff is Umbro, and the large is a perfect perfect fit..... now I'll have to roam around for the right size again :(

Maybe it's because that's the number of times they've won the European Cup..

Also, Man C*ty have three stars on their shirt for some reason as well. I think it's to represent each division they've played in in the past 10 years

I personally don't think that's goin to be the top, it looks like some cheap crappy fake u'd buy in Malta or something. But it has the same, retro template as the world cup nike kits and the confirmed templates for next seasons kits. And if you go on nikefootball.com and navigate to the Manchester United page, the badge there is the same as the one on the top with hints of gold, and there is also some gold present on that. The top is also in the same style as that rumored arsenal shirt for next season.

Notice how both tops look similar on the inside of the collar. But then again the AIG logo should be on the Utd top. What do you guys think?

That NIKE Man U shirt without any sponsor is a fake.

The Labeling on the back of the shirt is all wrong and not even ALIGNED!!!

It's some cheap piece of crap made in some crap factory in some third world country.

Also, Man u already confirmed that next year's jersey will be just like this year's with the exception of the AIG logo.

Is it just me, or do you all think they should just DUMP the FREAKIN RECTANGLE around AIG.

I think it would look INFINITELY better if AIG just put AIG with NO RECTANGLE BORDER!!!

It makes ANY shirt look retarded. I mean a shirt/jersey is supposed to comfortable and fitting. When you introduce a symmetric shape, DEAD CENTER it just kills the outfit, especially when there's no freakin PATTERN on the shirt!!!!

AIG is fine, but PLEASE PLEASE lose the border...that's all I ask!

I also know for a fact that UNITED is keeping their BLUE uniform from this year. They specifically stated that it wouldn't be fair to the fans who already bought the blue jerseys. My response..."Uh...it's already out of date with the whole VODAFONE replaced by AIG. What's a stinkin color gonna do to make a difference where VODAFONE and AIG (in a rectangular border) is already STARK as it is.

Actually, they confirmed that next season's away/3rd shirt will still be the blue kit, only with AIG on it. We are for sure getting a new home kit, as well as a new away/3rd kit. I KNOW that isn't the new home kit. it's too crap. the new away/3rd kit will be all white. So actually, we're going to have our traditional colors for all kits next season..

Home: red, white and black
away: white, white and white
3rd: blue, blue and blue.

hooooray. Last time we had that we won the league. hehe
I love the white United jerseys, I have one from the 02/03 season. I'm excited to see what the new one will look like (hopefully the AIG won't make it suck)

It's in the collar. It's some dual-layer collar, where the outside is white, then the inner collar accent is black. You can hardly notice it in the crap photos, but regardless...it's a piece of crap fake. So who cares.

I wanted to get one but they only had XXL left in stock.. *punches wall in anger and curses subside* I have yet to own a dual layer kit, hopefully I can snag one soon though (maybe now with all the vodafone kits on sale)

The only two kits that I have seen from the pictures posted so far are the new Arsenal home and the Celtic away with that classy collar.

Every single adidas shirt looks like complete shit, the brand logo is just begging to be moved because it looks like complete shit on MLS shirts, complete shit on NT shirts, complete shit on Bayern and Chelsea shirts. Just shit all around, but that's usually par for the course from adidas, their products are excellent like boots etc, but their kits have traditionally been shit, with Real Madrid having been the exception before now.

And Nike isn't doing much better, if they seriously make our kits Scouse Red with those god-awful AYSO-esque white stripes down the sides, then I will personally make the 1 hour plane trip to Oregon and light their offices and plants on fire.

The shirts ARE the same colour; its just the one at the bottom for some reason "looks" darker.

its been an arse on trying to find pictures of the shirt mind you...even for Sunderland...

Other clubs I can think of, off the top of my head are:-

Newcastle Home Shirt from Greenalls to Blue Star around 1991 but keeping the same HOME and AWAY shirts; and then again around 1993 they changed from Blue Star to McEwans Lager keeping the same HOME shirt; West Ham around 97 where they went from No Sponser I believe to wearing the same shirt the following season with a sponsor or maybe they had the sponsor before; but they definitly kept the same shirt....Charlton this season went from Allsports to ??? with the same shirt - although this was due to Allsports going bankrupt

Also Athletico Madrid changed there Sponsor every month or so last season; but this is down to the fact they're sponser is a film company and they advertise the latest film.

Arsenal had the same shirt but one with Dreamcast on and the other with Sega on it; one was for Europe I believe; allbeit they're the same company. I also believe they did something similar aswell with the home shirt around 2000.

Why would they do that, they wouldn't be making any/a lot of money, people aren't going to buy a kit that is basically the same kit as last season. Man U aren't gonna do that, Malcolm Glazer's a greedy bastard in debt. Every other team sponsored by nike is using the new template, so Man Utd will too.

More than anything, the "MUFC" in gold letter at the bottom right of each jersey. You can clearly see it in both, identical to each other. Match that with the similar cuffs and collar, and the apparent gold trim on the teaser picture matching that on the spoiler pic, and there you have it. It's a pretty firm conclusion.

I still absolutely hate that white/silver bit around the crest. It pretty much ruins the whole shirt for me.

The shirt itself is nice, and it's a nice tribute to the Busby Babes as well, as they wore a kit that looked a LOT like this one (nearly identical) in the 57-58 season. Of course, this shirt will be worn until May 2008, so it'll be worn when the 50th anniversiary of Munich happens as well..
we'll see, i care more about the material. nike has been downgrading their fabric the last four years, ever since the 2001 away jersey. he current third jersey is nice material but compared to the old jerseys, you just can't compare.

i have to disagree, i think the AIG logo kills it for me :p i really refuse to wear a shirt that has the logo of an insurance company. it just, bah, feels wrong. i mean it is no different than Vodafone, but still for some reason because i know the brand so much better it feels different.

I really hope they change the emblem/seal for MAN U to the one posted in an earlier post.

That whole WHITE Patch is very...ugh.

On top of the white border around the "aig" just makes this uniform look very...ugly. There's no creativity in this kit.

I hope there's something different on the front.

exactly. it's not a lifetime sponsorship so arsenal fans won't be changing the name of what the call the stadium everytime they get a new stadium sponsor. just like Arsenal Stadium was called Highbury; "SPONSOR NAME HERE" Stadium will be called Ashburton Grove or The Grove.

I only mentioned O2 because I like their logo and how it looked on us and the only way the could have continued on as shirt sponsor is they also bought the initial stadium name rights as it was a package deal. i wouldn't have referred to it as O2 stadium either.

You liked it (or at least I think this is why because it is the case for me) because it was a subtle sponsorship whereas "Fly Emirates" really sticks out at you, that is why I would have loved them to use Emirates and that Arabic symbol instead.

And hot damn does "The Grove" sound classy, I always love saying it.

Not sure if they are fakes or not, there was talk of the yellow kit continuing for another year so it could still be around and the other (though that is the most hotly debated whether it is fake or not) will be the third choice. We will see in a matter of weeks.

The real point is though that I talked him through it and he got the picture up, hoooooray!

first one is a fake...but there is a chance it could look like that...i highly doubt it though...but i do think the 3rd kit will be blue...i also doubt they will wear it this season, just like the last season....the home kit is real...its the same as in the picture released by arsenal.com and was also in the arsenal magazine...the yellow kit is also going to be used as the away kit next season...only difference from last season is taht it will have fly emirates not 02...

As we have an international group of players, it fits. That picture was proven as a fake, whether or not the kit still looks like that remains to be seen, but it will most likely rarely be worn.

Plus I think I read somewhere about how we "own" them because of the 5-1 beating we delivered at the San Siro in 2003 (I know it was 0-3 at Highbury, but that win made up for it) so I guess it makes sense that we have first dibs on those colors now (though I do hate them, to be fair)? Kidding, kidding.

Yeah, hadn't noticed that till now, seems a bit weird. Regardless, the shirt is still the one of the four from nike that I like.

the edge of the carling logo is aligned with the middle of the stripe, where it changes from green to yellow. it would probably look dumb if it were sticking out into the yellow a bit. also, it might have been the angle the picture was taken and if it were on a mannequin, there may be some shadows at play.

You have a point in what you are saying. When the Arsenal kit was first leaked everyone put down the gold bits on the side saying they were too big and looked silly, but when the top is worn properly you see they are off to the sides enough that it is not a problem.

Laying flat the top has material you would normally see on the side of a person, not directly in the front of them. All the same, it does look odd to have the sponsor on one of the stripes to me, why not make the logo smaller so it is not a problem?

We will see how it turns out in a couple weeks.

the gold piping is a nice touch, and you'll barely be able to see it on a real shirt. i think the ronaldo TV picture is proportioned wrong. he seems much wider than he should, which is another reason it looks bad. based on the other shirts by nike, there will be something on the back of the shirt at the neck area. the new arse shirts have the cannon, psg has the eiffel tower, portugal has the cross, etc. i am thinking a smaller, monochrome (probably gold) red devil will be on the shirt. they come out july 27 so we'll see.

That jersey with AIG...I believe that was photoshopped from the previous "new jersey" post way back when.

As for the RONALDO TV image, it was taken from an angle (left to right) that's why you see the distorted "midget arms" and "Wide" picture.

the big ass RED "home jersey" with AIG on it is a photoshopped pic and not the actual kit. I won't doubt that the new kit looks like the pic, but I'm fairly certain that the pic with the BIG "AIG" is a photoshop picture.

I have to say, I really do not like the WHITE background for the MAN U crest.

That is basically the same shirt as the earlier pic of the shirt that i posted. Fair game to ya GaGa, I did phototshop that last pic. I got it right though;) . I've not liked a Man Utd shirt for ages, but I actually do think this looks shit-hot. There's 5 shirts by nike this season that actually look good:eek: .

well, with that being said about it being a commemorative shirt with the Munich crash of 58, i guess it makes sense....

however, i still am not a fan of the new kit, it looks very unimaginative...

the crest on the left chest area looks more like a police badge than an actual club crest...

will i be getting one? of course, the more i see them play in it, the more i want one with the number 11 on my back.... giggs, this is your season to shine or bust... i'd say it's in your hands (but it's more in your hamstrings)
