Ferguson should be shot. Who picks some total crap teenager over the team's topscorer for the season? I hope Van Nistelrooy leads Holland to a world cup victory, and then goes to Arsenal and next season gets a hat trick against manchester at Old Trafford. That'll teach that gum chewing retarded loser.

The Dutch striker went home after manager Alex Ferguson selected teenage Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi to partner Louis Saha up front.

he left after Rossi got the nod over him.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he leaves this summer, and I wouldn't slight him at all for it. just goes to show you, Ferguson always has his way. remember what happened to Becks? IF he goes, I don't think he should go to PSV just yet though, I think he has at least a couple more great seasons left in him at the top level leagues of Europe. I'd like him to go to Italy or Spain, if anywhere. but until a transfer is definate, he's still a United player. and he will always be a United legend.

yes, he's should be shot for picking a team that won the Carling Cup and finished 2nd in the Premiership.

"[As for van Nistelrooy], there have been a couple of issues during the week which concerned me in terms of the spirit at the club. It was such an important day but I felt Ruud should be left out. It's straightforward and all I need to say, at the moment.
"I'll be discussing it with the club directors tomorrow and Tuesday and that's it. We're going to discuss the whole thing - that's important."

Apparently Ruud was affecting team spirit.

Ibrahimovic to Real, Ruud to Inter, Tavano To Fiorentina and Toni to Juve. That's my conspiracy theory for this transfer window. Cool isn't it?
But going to subject, I think it's about time to change the club for him.

EXCLUSIVE: The facts behind Ruud's walk-out
Monday, 8 May 22:42 BST
Setanta Sports can EXCLUSIVELY reveal the story behind the bust-up that saw Ruud van Nistelrooy dropped from the Manchester United team to face Charlton, a bust-up that could well presage the end of the Dutchman's Old Trafford career.
Speaking to Daire O'Brien on Setanta Sports' The Hub, European Soccer Correspondent Graeme Hunter explained the incident that caused Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to drop his star striker.
"In January, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Cristiano Ronaldo, who literally cannot stand the sight of each other, traded punches in training, and van Nistelrooy left Ronaldo with a broken face," Hunter explained.
"On Sunday, van Nistelrooy was not named in the Manchester United team, and as we all now know, he walks out.
"The roots are from a serious bust-up on the training pitch the day before, over a perennial row between the two. Ronaldo held onto the ball too long in training, and van Nistelrooy asked again: "Why do you keep onto the ball, why don't you pass to me? I am in position, I am the striker. Get the ball to me."
Hunter went on: "Ronaldo gives van Nistelrooy some lip, it ends up in a fight, and van Nistelrooy as he always does, needles into Ronaldo, and says "Yeah, yeah, go running to your Dad."
"He means Carlos Quieroz, Ferguson's assistant. Ronaldo's own father had died during the season, and finally, in the face of this abuse, Ronaldo burst into tears on the pitch and shouts "I don't have a Dad, he's dead."
This is the incident Sir Alex Ferguson spoke of after the game on Sunday when talked about a need to keep "team unity" at the club.
However, Hunter is not so keen to write off van Nistelrooy's Old Trafford career just yet.
"It is not necessarily the end for van Nistelrooy, because he is the goalscorer, and Ferguson still wants four strikers at the club.
"What Sir Alex may not know is that Cristiano Ronaldo is dead set on leaving Manchester United this summer, if Madrid will buy him. He personally has had enough of Manchester United, and English football. So, it may be that we are left with Ronaldo saying that he wants to go, and that van Nistelrooy and Ferguson may make their peace."

wow yeah, that article is such crap. Hell, I could make something up better than that. What's next? Ruud's off because he slept with Sir Alex' wife? BAH.
That article look pants too me. Just bored media crap. Ruud must have just been fed up being left out of the starting 11 and just got sick off it. The manager gets the last word though.

im not beleiving that article. i mean maybe its true, but you never know, especially with the media. if he did hit ronaldo thent hat is wrong but until its confirmed, i wont believe it.
If he kicked Ronaldo's ass then that raises him a few levels in my book, too. LOL! :p

i can imagine this happening because RVN has never liked Cronaldo and vice versa. i hav a feeling that both players will leave during the summer, rvn, c.ronaldo and rooney are all players that are not willing to be ordered around by anyone and as a result might not be compatible with SAF, altho cantona and keane has similar mentalities and they stayed with utd for long periods

urg, ffs. First of all Rossi is no “crap teenager”, he’s a very talented player, who needs to play sometime. And in hindsight it was a good move, because he played very, very well. There’s as much chance of United signing Lampard than there is of Arsenal signing Ruud. I don’t know what to think of this, I want him to stay, because he is simply one of the best, but I can’t stand this fucked up attitude he oozes since missing out on the Carling Cup Final. As well as we get a decent price for him, and a replacement, I don’t care. Klaas Huntelaar will a good choice in that respect. And as slipperydave said, how can you criticise one of the most successful managers ever in England, and who’s just secured second place and a Carling Cup, for leaving out someone who as he said himself, was causing unrest in the dressing room?

I am sad. I don't see any stricker like Ruud coming if he leaves. Players on his level like Eto and Shevshenko are out of reach. There are others like Tevez and Torres but none of them are proved in Europe or EPL.
I was very sad that Ruud took so bad to be on the bench. Saha have been playing very well and I like the competition between players for positions, that is good. United has given Ruud a lot of time when he has been injured, I think he is not been grateful with the club where he has become what he is now.
But I think also that it is very irritating that all the good players have to go from United ALWAYS, for stupid reasons that has nothing to do with the football pitch. Let's make a short list: Stam, Beckham, Keane (he was old tough, and it was his time to go) and now Ruud. This is very stupid. If we still had these players we were not been struggling to keep up with the Russian mafia :(
I really cannot remember other big teams having SO MANY problems with their players as United. Zidane for example, one of the best (if not the best) player of the last 10 years, used to be sited on Real's bench without even making a bad face. He is a real gentleman. It is always United that is surrounded by these stupid episodes, and the logic points a lot against Fergusson. He is a great manager and I respect him for what he has done for United, but his temperament has cost us many good players. I really think that we would be a better team today with these men on board.
What do you all think?

I am very sad about it. It was unbeliveble to see RVN scoring goals for Manchester United. He was a top goal striker in ManUtd. I'll never forget him becasue he was and still is a part of Manchester United history. Thanks Ruud for everything you did and every goal you score for Manchester. :) :) :)

YES!!! Finally there is HOPE!
Looks like MANCHESTER UNITED have postponed any movement on Ruud until after the WORLD CUP tournament :) Hehehe
I knew Ruud's performance on the world stage would sway the owners and D. Gill! :) heheh
Now Sir Alex MUST try and seek some kind of a common ground to try and get things back together again. If not, Sir Alex may not be around long enough to see United back in treble form!
Sir Alex knows he needs Ruud as much as he wants to succeed in the Premiership and the European stage. Only with Ruud will he get a chance at the CL title, FA title, UEFA title :) and the Premiership title! :)
Lets win at least TWO of those in the next 2 seasons!!! :) hehehe
I'm so happy!!! I hope Sneijder is alright and that the Dutch side play well in the group of death. This will truly bolster Ruud's stock! :) GOOOO RUUD!!!
Also, I'm glad to hear C.RONALDO simmer down the rumblings of his row with Ruud. It's about time.
So now we know it did happen, just not a big deal as the fans made it. I think the fans (us) had no choice but to blow it out of proportion because there was no press release to address the whole situation. Almost everything was heresay.
Well, here's looking at the WC 06 tourney and the start of the next season!!! :)

I would not be so sure. Where have you read about this? And it is not so easy to just "forget" what has happened between CR and Ruud, they will not do it for sure :(
I like RVN to stay, but the things still don't look so clear. The team is the most important thing.

Mark my words, he WILL be at United after the World Cup.
SAF might have lost it, but the Glazers are shrewed.

because a manager is good with tactics doesnt mean that he is good with players....
fergies has been responsible for a lot of good things in ManU..however, it is because of him, they will NOT be winning another EPL or CL until he leaves...
he treats his star players like shit! and because of dumb fans who think he is irreplaceable, he will continue to do so....
he won the treble because of a good midfield coupled with one of the most unstoppable strike pairs ever, Yorke and Cole...what does fergie do? next year, put them on the bench for numerous games until they both leave....
he gets rid of beckham, stam, keane and now rvn....players who were responsible for his success...
to me, it looks like the problem is FERGIE not the players.....since leaving ManU, NONE of the players have caused problems in their clubs, leaving one to think what the problem really is....
get rid of fergie.....
how can you get rid of rvn??? to replace with who??? NOBODY on manu's squad can put up the numbers he has done....rooney can only score a max. of 15 goals.....saha? rossi? please....if they get rid of rvn, they will be finishing off around 4th or 5th next year...
i like ManU, i really do...but not fergie....he ruins the team...

I hold out hope that Sir Alex will do the unexpected.
I think the man revels in doing what other people don't expect him to.
SO...I hold out hope that when it comes time next season, with both the Glazers and David Gill "advising" Sir Alex to reconsider...he just may do that. Reconsider.
And everyone will be stunned. Sir Alex changed his mind?! Of course I think Sir Alex will play in another light, something to the tune of...Ruud needed time to think about what he was doing and change his outlook, etc. etc. and the summer off did him good.
You know...take credit for giving him a timeout of sorts. Whatever, I could care less in that regard. I just want the team back. :)
GOOO RUUD. TEAR IT UP IN THE TOURNAMENT!!!!
Damn shame about CISSE though...good thing I didn't pick France to go far in my WC pool :) heheh. In all seriousness, what a ridiculous career, where you break both your legs (not at the same time). I wish him well.
