So now that the Gunners have finished 4th securing a date with the Champions League, is Henry going to stay at Emirates?
Or will he be picked up by the likes of Barca, Real Madrid, or Chelsea?
Or will it depend on the result of the Champions League final?

Now that Arsenal have secured fourth(sadly) I think it'll depend on the CL final

I agree, we have to wait to see if Arsenal win the CL to see if he's leaving. if they do win, I think he'll stick around to play at the new stadium. if not, I think he might be headed to Barca.
Now that Arsenal have secured fourth(sadly) I think it'll depend on the CL final
Therefore them finishing 4th in the League would have had no impact on whether he stays or goes?? Because it sounds like you're saying he'll only stay if Arsenal win the CL, regardless of the fact that there will be CL football at Arsenal next year. So the first part of your statement is rather useless.
And as a fan of the Prem, I hope he stays...

hahaha. it was first 'oh if they dont fisnish 4th he is gone'..now you guys are telling me that he will base his whole career on one match. In a season where we were least favourite to win it.
Hahaha im laughing my ass off!
He has made his decision already. He knows if he is going or staying!.
To me im 100% sure he is staying but the CL final will have absolutely nothing to do with it.

why would he leave?
did you guys not see him celebrating on the pitch when he heard that spurs were 2-1 down?
he was acting like a real gooner, and will keep doing that for more years

staying with Arsenal IMO

He´ll stay. There´s some excellent young talent comming through at Arsenal, the possibility of threating Chelsea and maybe dominating again is there, who would want to miss that.
Unless he gets offered loads of money and he likes that sort of thing, plus the possibility of playing with Ronaldinho,,, who´d want to miss that.

if we win it, he's won everything with us, he'll go find a new challenge

my gut feeling is that he will stay ;)
id hate to see the magician leave :( and i hope he doesnt,
but obviosuly the constant press coverage of his 'lack of negotiations' but us arsenal fans, and general henry fans in a situation where we feel he could possibly leave.
where would he go? there is all this talk of barcelona, henry to barcelona, he would be great with ronaldinho, he should go to barcelona etc etc blah blah......
I'll say this: If Henry leaves for Barca, or any major team like that, he will regret it. Not that I hope for him too, I hope the best for him whatever he does now, but I think he will.
This is why:
Right now Henry is the captain of a great team. He is absolutely adored by the fans. The team has been specifically built up around him. He is the senior guy whom everyone on the team looks to and looks up to. The team is a good mix of established veterans and young firebrands. And it is just coming together now and showing the form to be a dominant force in world football through to the end of Henry's carreer. Plus, they are just moving to a brand new world-class stadium.
If Henry goes to another top team, then he is no longer the #1 guy at the team, he has to work on establishing his position among the stars that team already has. He has to win over the fans, which takes time. He has to figure out his place in the team, which also takes time. He will have to INTEGRATE himself into the team, he is not going to have a team that has been built around himself like he has with Arsenal. He will be saddled with all kinds of unrealistic expectations that will be very difficult to meet in his first year adjusting with a new team. And he has to move to a new place and try to establish a new home. All of this means: 1) There is going to be a difficult adjustment period no matter what; 2) He will probably never have the position in his new team where he is THE connerstone like he is with Arsenal; 3) There are a whole bunch of ways for things to go pear shaped.
Henry loves being at Arsenal, why would he leave now? The best is yet to come.

if he wins the CL, he has won it all with us. May have to move on;)
If we didn't win it, he'll seek for it elsewhere. Move on .
Win or not win, Henry may leave. My money is on him staying anyways.

He's definitely staying. I agree with Supa's arguments and his family has something to do with it as well.

Henry will go to Barca, end of story.
Why? Cause SauraBH said so!
http://www.fbtz.com/forum/showpost.php?p=394470&postcount=36
Supa makes a decent argument, but they're not that strong when you look at the team thats looking for his services and the talent that Henry is. In Eto's first few seasons with Barca he won two titles. Thats a great transition if you eask me. The same with Deco, guily, marquez and etc.. Henry is the best striker in the world. He would be loved at barca, just because who he is. They love him already and he isn't even signed yet. With the midfielders barca posses along with messi and ronaldinhio, Henry is liable to have his best season ever in his first year at the noucamp. That team puts goals on a silver platter for any striker. With henry's ability he will score a bus load of goals.
Yes his family is maybe the biggest argument that holds relevance. That is something for them to decide.
But as said before in previous thread, Henry knows whether he is leaving regardless of CL honours or qualifications. As a footballer you know what you want, where you want to end your carreer and what you want to accomplish.. To turn down an opportunity to play at barca, a team he admirers, would be very difficult..
He'll be at Barca, if the money is right. Just as Viera went to juventus...
Barca for life...

He's staying. If you heard his interview he was talking about how people shouldn't assume they're in the CL and that WE will still have to go through a 3rd round qualifying. Sounds like he'll be there next year.

If I were him I would stay in Arsenal maybe for one season, just to play on new stadium but I think it also partly depends on Champions League final, then for sure some things will be sorted.

If he knows he's staying, then why doesn't he just say so? Why would he want to put up with all this speculation? Loyalty to a club only gets you so far, he wants to win the CL, and hopefully he'll to that in a week. Who would have thought that Gerrard would have even considered leaving Liverpool for Chelsea, and he came REAL close to going. If he leaves, it isn't goign to be about money for him, Arsenal already offered him a very nice contract with plenty of money, and he's already made it clear that it isn't about money. Going to Chelsea, Real Madrid? are you kidding me? I think he will go to Barca like everyone else. He wants to play with Ronnie and who wouldn't? But the better solution is for Wenger to bring Ronaldinho to Arsenal :D Just sell, Reyes, Pires, Lauren, and 10 more players for the transfer cash

negotiating a new deal with a club is like a game of chess you dont want them to know your next move. he wants to stay and the same time he wants to secure a new profitable deal

Arsenal have nothing to lose. Henry will get them enough money to buy a very good young striker. I think they need some good new players and they have nothing to lose. Let us not forget that they also have Walcott and I think he is the best English striker for the future.
PS - Off course this is possible only if they sell him before the contract expires and neither Henry nor Barca would mind that.

I don't think there's anywhere else he would fit in, he's like the Michael Jordan of arsenal, he's involved with almost everything. He would be far more peripheral at any big club and I honestly don't see him transferring to a club smaller than arsenal.

I think this will go down...Milan will sell shev to Chelsea for around 30 million pound, then this money will be used to sign Henry.
Or an idea that i'd like...Viera, Thuram, Trez all have a quite word with him to rejoin Juve :D

i doubt hed go to italy. hes had a spell in italy before and was largley unsuccessful. if you look at henry as a player, his game lies in his speed. the italians dont believe in attacking, so their defenses are set up differently. their fullbacks dont bomb up the flanks. this means there are more people to beat and less space for henry to do his stuff.
not saying henry isnt class, just saying if i had a bad experience somewhere, i wouldnt want to go back and give ti another go, especially if these could be his last prime years.

k, question for the Gunner fans...
a. if Henry stays, what would be the status of Walcott playing regularly next season?
b. if Henry goes, would Arsenal be in the hunt for a new striker? has any names been tossed around?

apparently he is staying and arsenal still has it's glue in henry
i think he means more to this team, then anyone on any other team
perhaps riquelme means more to his team
but congrats arsenal
and i would have loved him in barcelona, maybe his ego wouldnt allow him to be on a team with ronaldinho, eto'o, and puyol and those already legends of Catalonia but he will is an Arsenal legend forever

a. I have no idea. We have WAY too many good strikers (which I guess isn't a bad thing). I can't choose - Reyes, van Persie, Walcott? I guess we'll see how the World Cup goes (if Walcott gets in at all). I'm sure Walcott will play somewhat next year. The only reason he didn't this year was so we wouldn't have to pay Soton as much money.
b. Now that he's staying, fortunately, this won't have to be answered.

And don't forget Adebayor. I thought Adebayor and Henry looked like the best pairing this season, but I'd love to see Theo start too. Maybe in a few years - he'll have a great mentor in Henry in the meantime. I don't think we'll be seeing a lot of 4-5-1 next season, that's for sure.

What wonderful news he is staying. I guess when you send two guys out there totry and hurt someone a couple of weeks before the world cup that poerson probably will no longer be too keen on joining your club. That said I wonder how much of it is actually his wife telling him she IS raising her children in London. We all know the wives are really the bosses. Shh mines coming, better look busy :D
