So, I've been following Hleb pretty closely recently and he's an amazing player, the thing is I haven't seen him before Arsenal. So I went to YouTube and found a compilation of him (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YnTgtD4H-w&search=hleb). :p
I've had goosebumps watching that stuff. I mean if he was that good at Stuttgart, how good can he get now that he's at Arsenal? I have a feeling that he's going to be really big soon, and when I say big I mean big like Zidane. Maybe it's just me though... :)
So, what does everyone else think of him?

Hleb has been absolutely great for Arsenal in the CL games the last couple of months. He dominated for example the midfield when The Gunners fought down Real Madrid.
He is one of the big surprises this year along with Fabregas and the new solid defence. We know what the old guys of Arsenal can do if they're fit and inspired but all those new guys are opening up an interesting future for Arsenal.

He has some great potential, we will see next year if he blossoms into a stellar midfield maestro or just shows flashes of brilliance every once in a while like he did this year, although he was quite consistent near the end of the year.

Hleb and Fabregas have made an amazing midfield pair, they understood each other very well and I hope it can be seen much more next season :)
It's probably too bold to consider him such a big player like Zidane, but if some injury won't stop him he definitely has great career in front of him :)

Look at the compilation, if you haven't, and tell me it's not amazing.
Thanks for linking up the highlight reel, I hadn't seen that before.
Hleb is easily one of my two or three most favorite players, and I think the sky is the limit for him. He is just now really settling into the Arsenal squad, and I think next year he is going to be even a lot better.
Hleb is not super fast, but he makes up for it with pure hustle. He works harder on the pitch than any other player I know of, it is almost like having two players out there. However, because of that he gets winded by the 70th minute or so, and is only average after that point. Mostly what separates him from other players is his awesome finesse with the ball, his tenacity, and his incredible work rate. It is rare to see Hleb give up possession in the first 70 minutes.
An interesting thing is I read somewhere that Hleb is a dead ball specialist, but I don't know what to make of that because I have never seen him take any kind of kick at Arsenal.
Anyways, was it against Juve that Wenger had Hleb playing center behind Henry? Even though that didn't go so good, I think Wenger knows that Hleb can do even a lot more than he already has, and we will see that next season I bet.
Hleb is class, plain and simple.

I don't anything like that cause it is amazing ;) Obviously in Stuttgart he had more space than in Arsenal. He is now setlled and I'm really looking forward to see him next year. I think he's excellent player, I just don't like these comparisons of young players to big stars. He definitely has the potential, we'll see what he can make out of it :) I hope I'm clear this time :)

thats bundesliga quality
he'd never be able to do any of that shit in the EPL, he'd get his legs hacked off. but he is a good player, zidane not a chance, maybe a good replacement for pires tho

Yeah, that's what I also wanted to add, just forget to :o ... It depends also on the quality of your opponent... then against the best players can show their real abilites. But in Hleb's case I think he can carry on ;)

Yeah, I too have heard that he's a dead-ball specialist, but YouTube doesn't seem to offer any of his free kicks and I didn't find anything in google either. :-/ Supposedly he's so good that he might be chosen over Henry (for freekicks) next season, but we'll see...

Hleb obviously has quality, and I don't think we've seen the best of him at Arsenal. He's definitely moved up the list of my favorites, can't wait to see how he improves next year

I used to watch him playing for Stutgart, he was brilliant there. Seems to need a bit of time to adjust to new team and the English league.
HeŽs the perfect player for Arsenals system be patient, heŽll be breathtaking when on form.
Yeah, he's come along leaps and bounds this year. I'm becoming a fan!

Only problem I see in him is he likes to keep the ball in his feet even if there is somebody free to pass the ball to. Rest, he is fantastic.
