Question about israeli teams.

I was looking at some site and it had the names and foundation dates of some soccer teams from Israel. What really bothered me is that the teams were said to be founded in the 20's and 30's...but isn't israel a nation founded after world war 2? which is in the late 40's early 50's?:confused:

I see no one answered your question...

My best guess would be that even though Israel did not exist until after WWII, the cities like Haifa, Jerusalem, and whatnot did. These cities had football clubs already and when they were "merged" to become Israel, well, they still had their teams that were founded before Israel was.

If you look at the Israeli FA you will see that it is founded (1928) before Israel itself was (immorally) founded (1948). That is because it was founded as Palestine.

It would be something similar with the club teams.

simple, they are just lies like most of israel, some organisations and unions that had nothing to do with football were just turned into football clubs, with old dates given. Some dates were just made up because the creator of the club was born on that year, crap like that.

Its just another means of rewriting history with a myth a lie that never existed and padding it with these little but massively influential lies, these little things give the impression that israel existed and has always existed to non-chalant observers. Who then from this lie never realise the real situation in the middle east
