Villar Mir and Carlos Sainz win the elections, they both want Laudrup to manage Madrid.

Real Madrid legend Michel could coach the youth team aswell

AS says Laudrup is aware of the interest

They try to pull a Rijkaard. Get a young and fairly good looking coach, with little experience...

I don't think Laudrup is the right man for Madrid at the moment. They need one with big balls, that can turn the ship around. Laudrup doesn't handle adversity very well. He just looks upon and that is really frustrating. Just sits on his bench and get this disapointed look on his face. Really annoying...

Like Billy Ocean once sang: "When the tough gets going, the going gets tough" Real needs a tough guy... not Laudrup.

Bring in Del Bosque + a quality defender and defensive midfield anchorman... Then they will be in the race next year.

I don't know much about Laudrup as a manager. But if I had a choice between him or someone like Scolari, I'd pick Big Phill.

But where should Laudrup go, it'd be ashame for his career if he took a year off, which he is doing, unless a big club like real gets him. I see a bigger opportunity of Laudrup taking the place of the coach who is going to madrid, like somewhere in holland or something.

I'd pick Laudrup over Del Bosque. I thank VDB for what he did for us, but there is no way he can be a success at Real. He had a good record with us, but he hasn't done anything to show that he deserves the job again ever since.

So if it's not gonna be Scolari, Capello or Mourinho, I say bring in Laudrup or Mancini.

I think Mancini did a decent job with this Inter. Just look at that squad. His two star forwards, Adriano and Martins, scored 30 goals total! You compare that to Sheva and Trez who scored 30 each, and you see why Inter are 3rd.

If Mancini can handle the pressure at Bernabeu, I think he has the knowledge to lead Madrid. "IF" being the key word. ;)

I pray to god to bring Del Bosque back!
He was the man who create a team, and the man who was able to handle the team.
He has managed very well the locker room, had the support of the crowd, and was also able to promote young talents. Besides that, he has brilliant in preparing games, and he always adopeted great tactics.
He was modest, pacient, low profile, but hard working and with great vision. He was able to inspire average players so they were always 100% and convince the stars to play for the team.
He was always in control and the team respected him. No player had said anithing wrong against him.

Unfortunatly if they want him back, he will ask them to fire the entire useless brazilian gang and sent spice boy to shopping because he des not like lazy players, but I don't think that Real's president (whoever is going to be) will have the 'cojones' the clean the squad and bring back THE COACH.

I agree, Beckham has certainly been their most solid performer this season. Unfortunately, his worst games have probably been the highest profile ones, against Barca and Arsenal. If it wasn't for him and Casillas, and perhaps Fat Ronaldo waking up from his siesta now and again to bang in a few goals, they would surely have finished outside the Champions League places.

I think Real need to sort out their backroom goings-on and stop intefering with managers for them to be succesful. Otherwise it doesn't matter who they bring in as manager.
