There will be massive celebrations of the game in many parts of Berlin all through the month of the World Cup and you don't need a ticket to a game to join in and have a good time.

One place to go is the huge space between Brandenburger Tor and Siegessäule.
Just go to Brandenburger Tor and follow the crowd to the party with BIG screens and lots of beer. :)

It's my way of inviting people to come to Berlin and get a feel of the wonderful sport where it all happens.

And I'm not even german. ;)

Both Brazil and Sweden play important games on the infamous Olympiastadion in Berlin.

Ill be in Italy on holiday the few weeks before, if England get to the Final Ill make a detour on the way back. Can´t miss that can we now!!

Thanks Nelly for moving the thread to it's proper place.

Now this thread is about visiting Berlin on June 15 to get a feel of the build up of the game that day.

Sweden vs Paraguay

Loads of swedes will be there with or without game tickets as Berlin is close to go by car, train or bus and ferry.

The winner of this game will be nr 1 or 2 of the group. A tie makes it more difficult for Sweden, then we probably need to win against England on 20 June and I would prefer to have a "Swe-Dane vs Italy"-situation there with just a tie needed. :D

Berlin News...
The german authorities are very ancious of finding better ways of protecting the public during the World Cup.

The attacks recently have made them think of enhancing the security even outside the arenas where there are big TV screens, sale of alcohol and huge crowds of people.

Four days ago in central Berlin a drunk 16 year old lunatic attacked and stabbed 33 people, mostly from behind. One of the first victims had HIV and the police fear that the knife used may have made other victims infected.

And then there are new rumours of upcoming attacks from polish and german hooligans....

If you see some footage of a Berlin visitor in protective armour it's probably me.

It's getting HOT in Sweden now and many people of all kinds are going to Dortmund and Berlin. :cool:
