so, with the injuries lurking, and the inclusion of a few suprise players, and a few other players not included, do you think england still have the ability to make it past the group stage? over coming whatever group b's teams have to offer?

I voted no... but yes, they'll make it out of the 1st round as second placed team and then lose to Germany... So, they won't make it out of second round. :P ;)

I think England will go through the group stages, I see them finishing atop the group even. Sweden and England are the obvious favourites to head through.

My poll would be Will England Make It to the Semi-Final ?
Of course they proceed from the group, what else do you expect ?
Dont be afraid of Paraguay or Trinidad! Sweden is not that strong anymore.
No Problem for you english lads!

Yes, we will.
We might not win the group but I'm sure we will make it to the knockout stages.

I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and say yes
the most important match is not against sweden but rather the first vs paraguay
t&t are accessible so if they get a win vs paraguay and t&t the sweden game will matter not
however, rue paraguay
they are a tough defensive team with a lethal counterattack
they smell blood with rooney out and will be looking to beat england and are more than capable of it

I will have to say Yes, just because of Steven Gerrard. The other team will be Paraguay, but maybe Paraguay will be the top team in this group if Ericksson cellular doesn't get his tactics right soon enough.

im not sure...... trinidad and tobago will be our toughest fixture because they have such talent the likes of chris burchill who plays in one of the toughest leages in europe, league 1 as for dwight yorke who plays hes football in the austalian league with sydney fc and lets not forget ther star player of t&t stern john and we all know they can be very dangerous on their day and onto sweden thier prize asset is zhitan ibrahshitavic who will be playing in serie c next season then onto paraguay they have beaten both brazil and argentina int the qualifying stages so they may be the supriese of the tourament

Well T&T is an automatic win so I don't see why this is even a question. Can England not win at least 3 points against Sweden and Paraguay? Unless something outrageous happened like every single player on the main squad picking up an injury before the first game, they will qualify for the next round.... and even than I would put my money on England's B team making it.

Well T&T is an automatic win so I don't see why this is even a question.
So were northen ireland in qualifiers, so were france against senegal and so were celtic against clyde just a few examples.
No offence to england on paper the team looks unbeatable but they rarely play well and often concede. i have them drawing one winning one and losing one. I think the main player for them this tourny will be joe cole if he plays to his full potential then maybe they can scrap the other win they need. But to see so many confident english peeps is a worry u lot may well be depressed come mid june.

I see the point you try to make, anythings possible, which is what I've said in many posts. Northern Ireland against England has a derby match atmosphere and although it was unlikely that N.Ireland would win, there was still hope because they played at home and because England weren't looking very sharp. T&T vs. England in a World Cup match is a completely different story. Of course T&T could theoretically draw or beat England just like Australia could theoretically draw or tie Brasil and just like Angola could draw or tie Portugal, but these results are highly unlikely and I think it's safe to say England vs T&T is an automatic 3 points for England.

I agree that they will beat T and T is why i have them down as winning one, losing one and drawing one. end with 4 points i see

I would have to say no. It may become too difficult for England.
There's a match coming up on June 20 which probably will be crucial to both teams.
But I wouldn't be surprised if England finished second in the group. ;)
Everything depends on the result England vs Paraguay.
I predict that England will make it to the semi finals to :) I worked out that they would meet Brazil in the semis :O
I've got the same plans for Sweden. :)

England have aspirations of winning the WC,right? So,if they are not able to go past this group, they may well not step their foot on Germany;)
