This would be the sadest day in my life to not be able to watch the great man grace the footballing field with his determination, grit, class and passion.

I know Mourinho is a big admire of him and maybe i just hope he might be able to tempt him to play a season in england if Juve happen to go down and give him that last chance of CL glory which he so deserves.

I love Nedved, but with all the players you have now and getting, is there any place for him even on the bench.

That even if we are in Serie A next season coz atm we cant do any transfer business without knowing of our future.

Inter and Milan are already eyeing of our players

Nedved is pure class. I still can't believe I won't see Zizou next year. If Nedved retires too, it'll just be too much.

I seem to remember hearing during one of the Czech matches that Nedved was headed home to play for a second division club that he owns.

I will never forget his tears when he was shown the yellow card in the 2003 CL semi-final(2nd leg) between Juve-Real as he missed the final then against Milan.Juve surely missed him in that game a lot!

I'd miss seeing him as well, but it's probably a wise move. He's nowhere near the player he used to be, and with Juve's uncertain future I think it makes sense to call it quits now, rather than drag it out for another year with another club.

... of course, if he wants to come back to Lazio...

Oh god yes that was some sad moment :(

Honestly tho i dont think that he will keep on.. if he hasnt got a massive love for juventus and want to help the team, provided that we end up in a lower series, which is not that very unlikely..

Just to update you guys on the situation—there has been no news of Nedved's retirement in the Czech news and, in fact, so far it seems that he wants to help the national team to progress into Euro 2008. He might change his mind though, so don't quote me on that just yet. ;)

that's actually Karel Porborsky not Pavel Nedved.
Porborsky is currently a player and also holding a staff position for Czech Football club Dynamo České Budějovice

It might actually make sense for him to stay at Juve even now that they're relegated to Serie B. He's living in Torino, moving isn't much fun, he'd have to get used to the new team and by that time he's gonna be too old to be played very much. If he stays at Juve he'd definitely get first team football all the time, not to mention get the same wages as before. Plus with the lower level of football in Serie B, his age wouldnt show that much.

From the Juve site, source (http://www.juventus.com/uk/news/detail.aspx?lml_language_id=0&trs_id=1370000&ID=8106)

some of them are willing to go through a year of “purgatory” in Serie B, but if things remain as they are and we have to start thinking about two years to achieve promotion, it might be more complicated than that. One of those who has already expressed their desire to stay at Juventus is Alex Del Piero: “He is a symbol of this club” – continued Deschamps – “He’s made a life choice and has set has set an example that might encourage some of his other team mates to take part in this adventure. I’ve also spoken to Pavel (Nedved) and he also wants to take part in our project.

Nedved to Tottenham? (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=373952&cc=5901)

Sounds good to me...

If he is going to stick with Juve this season then he might as well stick around until they are back in Serie A and then retire.

Then he'll become a bigger Juve legend... and he deserves every bit of it.
