Adriano told to stay

Internazionale's technical director Marco Branca has moved to quell speculation about the future of the club's Brazilian striker Adriano.

The 24-year-old has been linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid in recent weeks and has made it clear he is not happy with life at Inter.

However, Branca told the club's official website: "Adriano is an integral part of our club's plans for the forthcoming seasons.

"Any reports of an alleged transfer to other clubs are therefore completely false."

Branca's words are unlikely to have been welcomed by Adriano, who had earlier told reporters at Brazil's World Cup training camp: "I enjoy myself when I'm with Brazil, but that's no the case at Inter.

"There is a relaxed environment here and all of my team-mates love me. There is a greater sense of calmness here.

"If Inter decide to sell me after the World Cup then I just hope that I can find a team who will allow me to express myself.

"It's a decision which will now have to be made by the Inter directors."

Veron: Adriano is overrated!

Juan Sebastian Veron has launched a stinging verbal attack on Inter teammate Adriano, claiming he’s “not all that good.”

“If he played the way he talks, then Inter would already have won the Scudetto,” slammed the Argentine in a South American newspaper today.

“Adriano feels himself on a pedestal that does not belong to him, seeing as he’s neither Ronaldo nor Ronaldinho. I really hope he gets to play against Argentina in the World Cup.”

It was well known that the two players disliked each other, with reports of a fist-fight during the half-time break of their Champions League quarter-final defeat against Villarreal, but the verbal battle is stepping up ahead of the World Cup.

Adriano commented this week that he doesn’t “enjoy” playing for the Nerazzurri and suggested there was an Argentine “mafia” within the squad, pushing him out of the clique.

If L’Imperatore’s future remains in the balance, then Veron could also leave the San Siro in the summer.

“Inter are asking me to stay, but I really think I’ll stay in Argentina, as my wife and children want to come home and are putting pressure on me to do it as soon as possible. I’ll start discussing options next week. River Plate are special to me, but I haven’t received any signals from them.”

Whats going on with Inter, thats their star player!!!

Does anyone actually care what Veron thinks? Adriano may not be as good as Roanldinho or Ronaldo, but he's a damn sight better than Veron. After the comments that Adriano has made, he'll definately leave the club, no matter what Branca wants. Players have all the power these days.

Both two arrogant and need to be discipled, but adriano really does think that he is in a pedestal in inter. Its Mancini's managerial abilites that are poor, all of his players play way to selfishly.

But if anyone is going it will be veron as he is old.

But according to the article, Adriano claimed that Inter has this "argentinian clique" and they're pressuring him. If that's true, than it wouldnt matter if Veron leaves, the clique is still there....... :(

Same reason Inter have let him go. He's in Chelsea's hands now.
