View Full Version : The Sergio "Kun" Aguero Official Thread V.2
Did anyone know that Kun has a younger brother, 11 yrs old, that according to the people that surround Kun and Kun ... that is in the path to be a fantastic player. He is suppossed to be left footed.
It was mentioned in Cadena Ser's "El Larguero" yesterday nite. For those who might be interested in listening to Kun's interview and the mention of his younger brother ... this is a 30 minute slot of the show (http://www.cadenaser.com/player.html?audioFile=20060605csrcsrdep_16.Aes) were it appears.
Posting these here, since it's not WC-related.
Kun arrived in Spain earlier today:

im so excited to be able to see him play in spain next season. my only hope is that goltv will be available and i can watch alot more spanish league on tv rather than streaming.
I think that Aguero made a smart move by going to Spain. Here in Independiente he was surrounded by a mediocre team and had the burden to carry the team on his shoulders. I still don't know if he is superstar quality but we will see once he starts playing in Spain. BTW: I also heard that Messi has a cousin that many say is even better than him...who knows

Same here ... eventhou I do get GolTV. :)
Yesterday I watched an interview to Mariano Pernia, who also just joined Atleti. He was saying how impressed his team mates are with Kun. :D

I think thats pretty fancifull talk. Its going to be hard to be better than messi. He's pretty darn good.

I wonder what number they'll give agüero
I'd like to see him start with a classic over 11 number and make it his own (a la aimar16/21 or messi30/19)
a teen with a high number has things to prove while a teen number 10 can often disappoint
or the best case scenario would be if he could become the number 10 in his second season..don't give it to him now cos it'll be too much pressure
as for torres..while I'd love to see them play together, perhaps el niño's departure could mean more playing time for el kun?

is he accually leaving? why wouldnt they make room for both of them on the pitch? its not like ath. mad. has had a rip roaring team full of talent up till this point...I know if i where the manager, i'd have a plan to use both of them... But i dont know much about this team, as i'm relatively new to football(2.5 years) and i've only seen ath. mad. as "some team barca/RMA is going to beat tonight". forgive my presumptiveness... :o

except that athleti is the one team that barca hasnt been able to beat in the last 2 years consistently :(

I remember the atletico of kiko, a true genius..and of course argentine legend diego pablo simeone and the glory from a decade ago
this is a big spanish club that has fallen from grace as 'the big two' have come to dominate the spanish league
very similar to argentina in that there are 5 or 6 teams with great histories but have been all but eclipsed by a two team monopoly
I hope they can stir things up this season

agüero debuts with a golazo against aleti b (http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/1a_division/atletico/es/desarrollo/673743.html)
He did it again today in the 1-1 tie against Energie Cottbus of Germany in pre-season.
He received and cut his defender into the center. And then lobbed the ball in, over the goalie. A golazo! :D

Great goal. I couldn't believe how similar he looked to a young Romário on the finish. Not just the class he showed, but even the way he moved.

I totally agree. Since I saw him play, he always reminded me of Romario.
As I said back in October of last year, in the near future, this kid will have a bigger impact in the game than Messi. And that's a high mark to overcome.

I saw it on fox sports, can't find anything on youtube yet. He got a through ball and was 1 on 1 with a defender running on the left side of the box, he cut back (faking a shot), left the defender on the floor, goalie came out and he chipped him with class.
Wait until you see it, literally gave me flashbacks of Romário.

how sweet would it be if atleti beat real a few times this season? its a tall order, but their squad certainly has the qualifications to do it. aguero for the double over real this season!

They have formed an interesting powerhouse upfront: Torres, Kezman, Aguero, Mista (just got signed from Valencia) ... and they have in their mid: Galletti, Maxi, Petrov, Costinha.
They will fight for a place in CL and/or UEFA for sure.
PS: Kun for President! :D

I like this player but right now he's way over rated. He's only 17 and hasnt even won the argentinian league. He has to demostrate all.

in VIP's old v1.0 thread i think he explained this.. something to do with him looking like a cartoon character named kun when he was young.

wow Aguero scored his third goal in the pre-season: (poor quality video)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntSMzUuFDVM
 really amazing technique. this is what he did in Argentina all season long and it looks like he is adapting pretty fast. If he can do this in La Liga then Atletico might finally achieve something this season.

this kid will top everything Messi has done and will do ;)
It wouldn't hurt to vote in this AS-Madrid poll ... http://www.as.com/encuestas/resultados.html?s_file=dasdiaftb&i_idb=5650 ;)
The question is if Kun will be the "upcoming star" of the next Liga ... the new player who will shine.
