... because of the yellow card they have received.

Because the yellow cards get whiped when the proceed to the finals, Sven have decided to give them a rest. Instead he is playing Jenas and Hargreaves in midfield and Rooney is set to start aswell.

- We have discussed it with our medicalstaff, and they, like me (Sven-G), believe that Rooney can play for more than 45 minutes. And if it's more than 45 minutes, then it would be better for him to start, instead of getting subbed during the game.

I think Sven, despite what he says, will wait to see how the Germany game shapes up before making his decision. Gerrard won't start, Lampard maybe, and Crouch possibly coming off the bench, if he's needed......

I checked the world clock, it's midnight in Sydney right now!

Give Lonso a break, he's tired and he's probably going to spend the whole night watching football. ;)

I admire your commitment mate. My dissertation is getting put firmly on hold for the rest of the day........and night, depending how much beer flows.....

dissertation aye? makes my earlier doubt even more embarrassing!

to be honest, i haven't studied for this exam at all yet because I only need about 5 out of 40 to pass. Killed the assessments during the semester, and promised myself i'd aim for at least a distinction out of the subject but the world cup kinda got in the way... and now it looks like i'll only get that 5/40 and take a nice pass :)

Yeah, funny how a pass can easily be settled for instead of a distinction . ..especially during the WC.........

Ah, how I pity you mere mortals :p. I find myself blisfully without a single thing to do at this moment in time. Holiday from work. Missus has the card, so she doesn't have any use for me. Just me and my telly. And a beer.

hahahaaa, lol, I get it now.. You see it was midnight and I didn't really understand it then, since English is only my 2nd or 3rd language nowadays.

Well said though, we men exist only to pay for their shoes <- brilliant! :D
