Dutch teenager signs for Celtic

Sno spent last season on loan at NAC Breda

Celtic have signed up 19-year-old midfielder Evander Sno from Feyenoord on a three-year deal.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for me at one of the world's greatest football clubs," the Dutch youth international told the club website.

"I know all about the great support which the club enjoys and I hope to be able to play my part in bringing these fans more success.

"I would like to thank Celtic for giving me this opportunity."

Sno, named after boxing legend Evander Holyfield, began his career with Ajax and spent last season on loan at NAC Breda.

Yeh looks a really promising kid, being only 19 i dont expect him to start in the 1st team, unless he excels in training, maybe have to hit broadwood on a monday night to see him in action for the reserves, have never seen him play , but from his press conferance he looks proud as punch to have signed for us.

i'm not so sure, yeah it's pre season but three games lost in row now, hope we pick up against the big guns, chelsea n co.

He doesn't come with the best of reputations tho... :eek:

I only heard about him recently because he was linked with a move to Everton, but that was only because he demanded a first XI place and Feyernoord wanted rid...and that was after he left Ajax becuase of a falling out...

For a young kid he has a lot of baggage, but I guess if he produces on the pitch then Strachan will handle him.

Better to lose pre season than in the season. Winning all your pre seasons can have a bad effect once the season starts, think you can walk through games etc.:)
