Just saw it on Real Madrid TV and I thought I'd let all of you know :)

More to follow as details are provided in English... my spanish is very poor ;)

Opinions? things to expect? lets share all of them here since its a reality now.

I wanted Villar Mir :(

Me too... I think Calderon said he'll clear half the squad  At least one of the candidates said so!

If he can bring Kaka in then thats a great replacement for Zizou, not the same but acceptable :)

Never gonna get Kaka. Just the fact that he made that promise before talking to AC Milan, I wouldn't be surpised if AC rejected 100m euros now.

I think he could get Robben though, I don't think Mourinho likes him very much.

I wanted Villar Mir :(

I did too, just so that we get Ronaldo out of the EPL, I never want to see that baby ever again.

I have no comments about him until he appoints the manager. I've basically stood out of the whole election thingy because I believe these people will say ANYTHING to get the job, but most of them won't deliver and often change as soon as they are in the office.
So IMO once he makes the decision about the manager, we'll see a lot clearer what he's made of and where he's going.

oh, and btw I'd rather see C. Ronaldo play for Madrid than Arjen Robben.

Now, now, where do your alliances lay? Villa Mir is the guy that said he was going to get Wenger, as well as possibly Fabregas and Reyes, did he not?

I'd much rather see Ronaldo than not see Wenger.

THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL

The announcement will be delayed because the electoral board has passed it to the courts. why? They're still trying to figure out if postal votes should be counted. This could go on for a while

Go to Real Madrid forums with socios, they'll confirm this

Well Zizou is gone. If he brings Capello as he promised Ronaldo will also be on his way. Salgado will probably join an Italian club. Gravesen doesn't want to stay. Woodgate must be kicked out. Pavon is shit and should be sold.

That's 6 players who will most likely pack their bags. It's a lot for a club like Madrid.

You posted in the other thread that the winner will still be announced by July 3 and it has, it will certainly be interesting to see what happens now if it stands or is taken back or is said to have never been made. Nail-biting stuff.

Hopefully it gets over and done with in a clean and polite fashion (not sure how that can happen in politics of any sort though).

Unfortunately, around 8000 votes of Socios living outside Madrid were not counted, that's where the problem is. Those socios have every right to have their votes included as stated by Real madrid's rules

The judge the other week SUSPENDED the votes. Right now, the court again has to make the decision whether to include it or nullify all

Calderon has once again promised to bring Kaka to real madrid during his "victory speech". I don't know if he's lying or not anymore because what is he going to gain from saying that again

Seeing as Kaka signed a contract extension until 2011 with Milan about 10 days ago I suppose Real will need to clear out half their players...just to meet the buy-out of a contract with 5yrs to run

PS: does Kaka signing a new contract, whilst Calderon was at the very same minute promising to take him to Madrid, spell out any messages from Kaka...? Hmmm...I wonder if it could be a huge plate of that famous Brasilian speciality 'PISS OFF' that Kaka was ordering? ;)

Roughly translated by an online translator
“Kaká will come to Real Madrid”
Finally, after praising the work of Mijatovic and Divac it assured that it hopes to fulfill “all the promises that did” and assured that “Kaká will come to Real Madrid”. “I am going to continue being a normal partner, I am not going to take bodyguard”, said

If Kaka doesn't come he's in a world of trouble

Vlade Divac will head the baskeball department of Real madrid :p

GaGaGooner, your troubles are not yet over. Ramon Calderon promised 3 players. Kaka (which he confirmed over and over), Robben (Mijatovic was pictured with Abramovich during the WC), and Fabregas (His agent was pictured having lunch with calderon's men)

Both pictures I have posted on the election thread

:p time for calderon to put his money where his mouth is. or should I say Real Madrid's 160 million transfer kitty

Now, now, make up your mind. Either he is the new head guy or he isn't. If he is, then I'll worry about it (though to be fair I do not see the Fabregas deal happening, being that young and that promising of a player as well as being Catalonian makes me doubt it for now), if he isn't, as you have made it a point to say recently, then I do not see any need to shake in my boots just yet.

Take a stance and stick with it, not just the stance that is looking to give me the most potential strokes! :p

I do not speak/read Spanish well so I had to translate it from Babel Fish which means it might not be accurate word for word.

All of those quotes are from one party, Calderón, now excuse me if I do not take it as the gospel just yet, but that means nothing at this point. No one from any other side potentially involved (whether it be Juventus, Chelsea, Milan, Arsenal) have made any comments besides those that the rumors were untrue. This guy has to come through, of course he is going to maintain that he will keep his promises.

I have never said that none of the potential moves will not happen because everything has a chance in this world, but to accept all of this as fact at this point is a little hard to swallow for me.

I'm as skeptical as you are. I'm used to having a dozen people linked to my club every transfer window. But if calderon doesn't bring the 3 players he PROMISED he will make alot of enemies. 8000 socios didn't get their votes counted because of him, I know some of them, and they are not happy

Some Madridistas are already raising their eyebrows in his choice as manager. Capello may have won the league when he was with madrid, but to madridistas, playing beautiful football is as important or even more omportant than winning. I remember when Madrid was knocked out of the Copa del rey in the Bernabeu, the fans applauded them off the field because of the way they played

Here's hoping Calderon keeps his word

I will just have to wait to see how things pan out. I won't raise my hopes for anything yet. After all, R.Madrid knows how to crush ones hopes sometimes. Cesc Fabregas remains far from certain to become a Real Madrid player, according to his agent.

New president Ramon Calderon announced that teenage midfielder Fabregas would be heading to the Bernabeu to play a major role in the club's future.

However the 19-year-old remains contracted to Arsenal, and agent Joseba Diaz explained: 'We had meetings prior to the elections and there would be no problems on our part, but now they (Madrid) have to go to Arsenal to see what they say.

'We have always expressed our gratitude to Arsenal. I don't think we would ever stab Arsenal in the back and whatever must happen, will happen.'

Diaz said: 'I don't think Arsenal are a club who wants to let the player go for all the gold in the world.'

Wow, all this hypocrisy by clubs. Anyway lets see what will happen. I knew from the beginning that promisong all this players was not going tobe easy. But tghis guy better get them because he was the one making the promise. To be realistic, I can see Robben leaving but there is no way i can see Cesc leaving. No way Wenger will give up on a young talent like that. That has never been Wengers style. And if at all the guy wants to leave, Arsenal will milk all they can from Real, because of the boys age helps alot.

I do not think anything is certain yet, but to be fair I am not sure. The attorney for Juventus said that a ruling of relegation and points deduction was something that was, "an acceptable punishment." Whereas the attorney for Milan said that his client has done nothing wrong, he was quoted as saying, ""Respect for the rules is in Milan's DNA."

See the story at the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/5154196.stm).

The story there is much less detailed than what I have seen reported in other sources, but just do a Google search if you are interested and you will find more info.

He won't :) He'll just sign other players and say that Capello didn't want to sign Robben, Cesc & Kaka because they didn't fit in his system.

Then he'll say: Madridistas, i told you I won't interfere with the footballing aspect... the boss will have the final say on everything

Do you want the long story or short? :)

Last week there was a rumor saying that the votes had been recounted and Palacios was the rightful winner. However, as you know, Palacios dropped out of the running after the initial debacle, which means Villar Mir, who, allegedly had the second most votes, would take over. Of course, all of this is pending the eventual court ruling... and the possible revival of Palacios' campaign via his right hand man, Fernando Fernández Tapias (http://www.elconfidencial.com/fotos/economia/2006062825FEFE_20060629.jpg). Badda bing, badda boom. Stay tuned.

Also, there's this (http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/1a_division/real_madrid/es/desarrollo/706773.html) issue, where former employee Luis Torres is accusing the club, under Calderón's administration, of blackmail. Suh-weet.

I didn't mean that in a "screw Real Madrid" kind of way, but more like a "hurray for scandals and corruption" kind of way. I miss all that living in the US now. Oh wait...

By the way, both rulings should be coming in the near future. Should Villar Mir win, it's suggested that Pedja will leave, but Capello will stay on (and perhaps be given a bit more say in the way of decision making). If Tapias is elected, then brace for the worst. :)
