i really think that bayern are going to have a lot to deal with in HSV. bayern have lost some great players and HSV have picked up a few good ones. Should be very close like last season, except this time HSV will actually not choke and win the bloody title like they should have. as for champions league spots is will come down to bayern, hsv, and bremen. as for who will be relegated, im sorry to say that i think wolfsburg will take the plunge after they barely escaped last season from the fall. i think that cottbus, and bielefeld will also join them. looks like it will be a very good season and cant wait for it to begin

HSV have picked up a few good ones.
Huuh ? which ones ?
I just know about Kompany and i know they are still in search for 2 attackers. They even asked Kluivert to come to Hamburg.
I bet they wish that they kept Barbarez :p

No not Bochum, they have the strongest squad of all new ascents since Kaiserslautern made it from 2nd league to 1st of the Bundesliga and they still have money for decent new players.

Where did Barbarez go??
I suck at predicting and I don't even know enough about German football to make a prediction anyway but I really love watching KC's Bundesliga highlights show, so I'll hope for Werder Bremen to do well (I like Valdez), as well as Mainz (I like the coach).
Also, did Altintop (the one in kaiserslautern) make a move to a bigger club or is he staying??

Barbarez moved to Bayer Leverkusen, they took him with a warm welcome.
He complained that Hamburg didnt tried to hold him and just offered a contract with 50% less money.
So you can say that they kicked him out of the club.
I like Valdez too, unfortunately he kept moaning about the strong competition in Werder Bremen`s attack so he asked for a new club. He moved to Dortmund for 4.7mio €.
Halil Altintop moved to Schalke to play with his brother. Well lets see if he`s going to play because Schalke`s attack is stuffed with good attackers like Asamoah, Kuranyi, Lowenkrands and Larsen :D
Mainz has a tough job this year. They didnt get any good new names and lost important players but lets see what they can start.I like coach Klopp too, he`s the man. I hope he`s able to keep the club in the first division, but im not convinced :[

Brilliant wrap up of all the things I wanted to know Mambo, excellent! :)
Shame Valdez left :( , but obviously with the Klose & Klasnic combo doing well, he wasn't going to be 1st choice too often. I did think he was too good to rot on the bench though, it seems he agreed.
Yeah I like Klopp's youthful enthusiasm on the bench. And Mainz had that Zidan guy on loan from Bremen didn't they? (or was it a different club?) I'm guessing he's gone back to Bremen then.
I just hope someone can knock Bayern Munich out and let it be Bremen! Also felt REALLY sorry and gutted at the way Bremen were knocked out of the Champs League!

Klopp, i root for him too. here are my predictions
1. Werder Bremen-as tough as that is, they have added more and done more to their help themselves.
2. Bayern - Podolski and van Buyten are good and much needed additions, but i dont think we'll be able to cope with the loss of ballack and ze ro. unless dos santos/karimi/santa cruz fill in the void perfectly.
3. Hamburg - lost van Buyten and Barbarez, but they did add Kompany and Guerrero (who i give more credit to than he probably deserves). will be a tough year for them, still need strikers but they might come out alright in the end.
My predictions:
1-Bremen
2-Bayern
3-HSV
4- Schalke
5- BVB

i believe that schalke will perform better this season but bayern will proberly win once again (it's so booooring).
stuttgart will hopefully get a fifth place and be able to play the uefa cup, we have some promising new players but i'm not to sure about the coach veh.

Bochum are back?!! Let the 6-0 highlight reels begin! :D
I think Bayern will still win. Even withouth Ballack. They always win. The days of Bremen championships are gone with the days of an unbeatable Arsenal.
The drop is always 3 from 10 so it's anybody's guess who will go down. I really wish Frieburg had come back up though. Speaking of relegation, that Wolfsburg vs. Kaiserslautern game was awesome. I love relegation ;) ..............

Yeah that was a real nerv wrecker :D
I see Werder Bremen, FC Bayern München, HSV and Leverkusen in the first four places with the best chances on the title for Bayern (as always -yawn-).

Hej, jr.
let me correct your Table:
4. BVB
5. Schalke
:)
I hope Werder Bremen win the league this time. Hamburg will have no chance this year, they did not (yet) invest enough money to be competitive.
Cottbus and Bielefeld will go down. Hmmh, not sure about the third one.

Even though my heart says Bayern, I have some real doubts this term..
Bremen maybe...they got better....
Hamburg will also have a cry in the proceedings..but I don't think they'll make it to the top..
Schalke,Hamburg,Dortmund and Leverkusen will fight it out for the 3/4/5 places..
Schalke is considerbly weakened with the loss of poulsen..
Stuttgart is gone case...;)

Its not like Hamburg have not been trying to spend money. They have been looking at trying to sign Milan Baros, Patrick Kluivert, and so on. they just have not had anything work yet. They are trying to bring in a quality striker but it is proving difficult to do :( Hope they can snag someone soon before the season starts

Sanogo is a good one, he was chased by clubs all over Europe :)

... i think bauern and werder have the best chances to make it (what a surprise...). the question will be if diego can replace micoud and how bayern play without ballack (i hope more attractive - less effective). werder gained a lot of quality through the signing of wome and fritz, if they sign mertesacker, i see them on top.
hsv has - on one hand - enormous pressure on a very young team, a lot depends on the championsleague-quali, if we fail against osasuna the situation could become critical, especially after the struggle searching for strikers.
on the other hand - hsv has enormous potential, with a good start in the season, all key-players staying uninjured and all youngsters developing well - everythings possible.
i consider schalke stronger than last season, sand should be replaced more than properly with halil altintop and poulsen isn´t a big loss imo - he is a very good destroyer but his passing game is weak, bajramovic is the better choice on that position anyways. abel and lövenkrands are good signings.
schalkes biggest problem probably is that daum lurks behind slomka and the team knows about that.
those are the four teams i consider the strongest, followed close by bvb who will be back among the top teams sooner or later.
hertha, leverkusen and stuttgart won´t keep up, nürnberg or frankfurt could be the big surprise....gladbach and wolfsburg with slim chances for a uefa-cup rank...
@ mambo: werder thought about signing sanogo, too, some time ago - so he can´t be that bad ;)

Was Zuma sold to AZ Alkmaar? Then Bielefeld are doomed for sure. Boache wasn't even in Ghana's world cup squad. Buckley has moved to the prem. Things are looking worse and worse for Bielefeld. I say they go down.
How do you guys think Prince Poldi will do for Bayern? Golden Boot? Unless Makaay hits the best form of his career, I really think it will go to Podolski, with Klose a close 2nd.

Na, I don't think Poldi will do well for Bayern - imo he's not a player that fits into their way of playing football. I mean Bayern is not Köln, it simply is more difficult to prove oneself. Hopefully he won't end up on the bench...
If Klose continues developing he will be the top scorer this season, followed by his teammate Klasnic. Then after this season Klose will be sold to a club in the EPL, I think.

zuma still plays for arminia but boakye is sold to wolfsburg, i´m sure he would have made it into ghanas wc-team but he was injured. buckley was already transferred to dortmund last season and i think he finally stays there, because no epl club wants him in the end.
although i´m confident they hold the class, von heesen is a good coach he will manage it somehow, the team isn´t as weak as it might look on the first view, they still have some good players (kauf, schuler, westermann, masmanidis).
the golden boot will go to sanogo followed close by guerrero ;)
Big blow for Bayern, Ismael has just broken his leg in training today. Apparently it was Demichelis who tackled.
