I was wondering if any of you could share some light on Columbian midfielder/striker Elkin Soto.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

What specifically are you looking for? There's some videos on YouTube and search in Google brings up plenty of info too.

I've seen the couple of youtube videos, and most info on him is in Spanish.

I was wondering if anyone here has seen him play and how they rate him as a player. His pros and cons.

My team Dinamo Zagreb are rumoured to be interested in signing him and I was wondering what type of player we're talking about.

Sorry, I don't know much about him, but he's been signed by Barcelona SC just recently so I doubt that he's going to be moving again. Unless they're planning to loan him, but supposedly he received a number 7 so it's likely that he'll be a first team player.

If anyone else has more info it would be greatly appreciated.

Actually i believe your team has gotten Dairo Moreno instead of Soto.

Soto is a great players I believe he has alot of talent and he is wasting his time in Ecuador.

Moreno is another great player BUT he lacks alot of discipline I don't know if it has to do with his age (20).

Anyway keep us up with what happens with your team in the Champions league,

Thanks for your reply and will do!

I was actually coming here to ask about Moreno.

When you say "discipline" do you mean on the field (cards, etc.) or do you mean with coaches, off the field stuff??

What else can you tell me about him??

I read that he was selected as Colombian young player of the year (U-20). Is that accurate?

How do you rate him and what kind of potential does he have??

It's reportedly a 1 year loan (200,000 euro), with an option to buy at 1.5 million euros. Could be a worthy investment.

Thanks for all your help.

Thanks for all your help.

Off the field, he was involved in a drinking and riving accident, he was dismissed from the U-21 team for tardiness. On field he \'s a really good player, scored 14 goals in the last tournament (short tournament).

I just read he is not going to go because he wasnt happy with the money offered...

Thanks for that.

I just read on another forum:

"Well from what i read Daryo was happy with the offer but then his agent said he was worth more... which ruined the deal."

Who knows. The story has changed so much the last few days. But from almost everyone who comments on him (Moreno) they say he has a bad attitude.

But everyone seems high on Soto. Dinamo actually agreed terms with both Soto and Once Caldes, but apparently Barcelona (Ecuador) is getting the way - it's where he is loaned this season. They have first right to buy and say they'll price him at 10 million euros (???).

Never easy.

I'm not quite sure what is the deal with Soto, I don't know if he's on Loan or is owned by the Ecuadorian club. He is surely worth every cent he is a great player, like I said he wastes his time in Ecuador
