the stupid idiotic dumb exclamation mark is only temporary!
The company that paid to be the shirt sponsor this year is called RAG.
They are spinning off some part of their company into a new company & listing it on the stock exchange.
This currently nameless new company will be the new shirt sponsor.
This is supposed to happen either in October, or spring of 2007, I've heard both.
Apparently the exclamation point design is done by some famous artist.
Whatever, it looks terrible....

Another funny note about Betandwins sponsoring is that they are sponsoring Milan and in Italy the internet providers have banned internet betting sites (like Betandwin) after a new law in Italy :)
that's wrong too and apparently team management struck a deal after the fans almost revolted after that & agreed to only use them for one season.
I hope the guy who designed that logo isn't designing the new logo.

the BVB kit is really ugly, not only because of the terrible looking logo, but the white stripes of the shirt! If they were black, i think no one would have said something neagtive about it!
I don't like Werders 1st kit either, but the green/orange one looks nice!

Not really, BetAndWin changed their brand name to BWin recently. They're advertising everywhere so that people get used to the new brand name.

Bremen Court has decided that Werder must not use bwin anymore on their kit when playing in the state of Bremen.
So now the bwin kits won`t be sold anymore.
(Betting on sports with money has a difficult legal status in Germany)
The "we win" ones are way cooler anyway ;)

Actually TSV 1860 Munich started it and Werder just copied :D ;)
And yeah they changed the name of the company from Betandwin to Bwin for marketing purposes only because after the latest referee bribe scandal the guys from Bwin thought it's not that suitable to have the word "bet" in the name of the company.
If I'm not mistaken betting on sports is only forbidden in one state in Germany, Sachsen-Anhalt I think. Unless there's a brand-new law for the state of Bremen, but I doubt it.

u cant get no more promotion than bwin gets throughout this whole silly story. sponsoring werder (as well as 1860) must be a great investment for them...
in conclusion this is a typical case for german laws, courts and judges performing at their best, people are busy with something thats completely senseless from the beginning on and the outcome is exactly the opposite than the intended purpose actually was, but those in charge are probably too stupid to even realize that and think a great job was done...somehow funny though :D
