no ljubuja's not sold yet all though he wants to go and he's not in the b-team either. but when when the shirt numbers were presented a couple of weeks ago he wasn't on the list, simply because the club knows he wants to go so there's no point in allocating a key shirt number for him. but it would be great if he stayed, he was one of the better players last season.

it's a shame we once more lost our better players (just like we lost kuranyi & hleb previous silly seasons).

From the BVB web site:

Tinga Signs 3-Year-Contract With BVB

[17.08.] Borussia Dortmund has signed Brazilian international Tinga from SC International Porte Alegre. The 28 year-old midfield dynamo arrives in Dortmund just as his club was crowned winner of the "Copa Libertadores", the South American version of the Champions League. He signs a three-year deal until June 30th, 2009. "We expect Tinga to arrive over the weekend and are happy that he will be adding more quality to our team," stated Michael Zorc, the BVB General Manager was in Brazil to observe the player.
Tinga, whose full name is Paulo Cesar Fonseca do Nascimento, played a decisive role in the first Copa Libertadores title in the history of SC International. The two footed midfielder, who will wear number 19 at Borussia Dortmund scored the go ahead goal to put International up 2-1 in the second leg, a game that ended in a 2-2 tie. SC International had beaten then title-holders, FC Sao Paulo 2-1 on the road in the first leg.

"Dede has raved to me about Dortmund and BVB. I am really looking forward to Borussia Dortmund and the fans," said Tinga after his team won the "Copa".

The Brazilian hopes to watch his new team play against Mainz from the stands in Signal Iduna Park.

Demel got a red card as centreback backup and misses at least 2 matches.
But i dont think you`re totally fucked, Cottbus is always hard to play so thats not an indicator. There is alot quality in the squad and sooner or later they will be on fire :>
Its a complete new attack, just give it a few weeks.

edit: But Boumsong is not coming :[

i just copy my post from the transfer talk-thread:

the latest rumour on this transfer is that boula faked an injury before the game against osasuna because he was already in negotiations with chelsea and wanted to make sure that he is still allowed to play cl for them. after the management found out about that, they decided to get rid of him and released him to chelsea.

i heard about heitinga too, also the names hofland and friedrich (manuel) occured. i think it all depends on tonights game. the situation is very uncomfortable anyways - transferwindow closes in a couple of days and all clubs know we desperately need a cb, so every player who normally costs lets say 5 mio. now costs at least 8 mio. for us...its a fucked up situation

joris mathijsen (az alkmaar) replaces khalid boulahrouz. hsv pays 6 mio euro for the dutch international who signs a four year-contract. transfer will be officially announced tomorrow.

do you know anything about this joris mathijsen guy.

Walter Subject
23-08-2006, 10:02 PM
i can´t really say much about him, i´ve seen him a couple of times for alkmaar in uefa-cup, he seemed to be very solid. van basten usually chooses him over boulah in the nationalteam, but since van basten is known for makin weird decisions now and then, that ain´t gotta say much. in the wc he was one of the better players in the dutch-team imo.
thats all i can say, maybe someone else can describe him further, i´d be very interested too.

btw jak (and of course anybody else who likes hsv): theres a new service on the official hsv-site (www.hsv.de), its called "players lounge" you can watch hsv games, interviews, highlights and all kind of specials, you can register for free til the end of next month i guess, maybe you wanna check that out.

thank you for letting me know about this. Havent checked HSV's site in a few weeks. I think ill have to go take a peek at this. Do you know if you will have to pay for it after the month is up?

ahhhh it costs money after the month :(

@jak: i know that sucks, but at least its free for a month. i won´t pay for it either i just use it as long as it is for free.

I've heard rumours (again) that HSV are after Metzelder from Dortmund, who won't renew his contract that is up at the end of this season.
Metzelder isn't fit right now (is he ever?), which of course probably means no deal will happen.

And there is another new one for HSV: Ljuboja (is it spelled correctly?) seemingly just signed a contract on loan today. Don't know why, but I like him. Good to see him in action in CL!

Walter Subject
31-08-2006, 06:28 PM
ljuboja was kicked out the first team in stuttgart because he obviously didn´t read the contract he signed for stuttgart and declared he wouldn´t accept it to the fixed conditions afterwards (i know this sounds stupid ;) ).
i think nobody really knows the story behind all this, ljubojas behaviour is definetely kinda strange, but i wouldnt trust stuttgarts management either.

ljuboja is an offensive allrounder he can play as striker but also replace van der vaart til he has recovered from his injury.
fact is he played a great season and he is a very good transfer imo. :)

Don't know why, but I like him.
me too, maybe because he looks and moves so funny, i always have to smile when i see him play because his moves look so weird. with sanogo and ljuboja we have the funniest strikers in the bundesliga. :D watch out for these two in cl!! :D
