Its the first tournament of the season and the teams can win more money in 2 matches
as if they would proceed to the quarter finals of the UEFA cup.
Unfortunately this Cup is only broadcasted on pay TV.
First semi-final: Werder Bremen - HSV

Nijel de Jong got a red card in minute 76. for an attack against Frings.
He was flying in his legs while the ball was already far away.
HSV coach Doll was angry about the ref and said that this wasnt a red card and that the referee did a lousy job.
Frings hisself said if he doesnt have his legs in the air during the de Jong attack, he probably wouldnt be able to play football for the rest of this year.
The season starts soon and it looks like Mo Zidan has his nose in front of Ivan Klasnic in the Werder Bremen squad.
Schulz and Owomoyela might be on the bench in the first matches for Wome and Fritz
