Now its Reggina's turn
ROME, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Italy's football prosecutor on Monday ordered another Italian Serie A team, Reggina, to stand trial in a match-fixing scandal that has already penalised four of the country's elite clubs.

An Italian Football Federation (FIGC) spokesman said its prosecutor, Stefano Palazzi, had charged Regina with sporting fraud. He did not offer details.

ANSA news agency reported that six Reggina matches were under scrutiny following telephone wiretaps involving the team's president, Lillo Foti.

Neither the club or Foti could be immediately reached for comment.

The trial against Reggina follows a decision by the tribunal last month to oust Juventus from Italy's top-flight soccer league and punish Lazio, Fiorentina and AC Milan by deducting points.

Juventus were also stripped of their titles from the last two seasons for seeking an unfair advantage in the appointment of referees.

The Chamber of Arbitration of the Italian National Olympic Committee will hear Juventus's appeal on Aug. 18 in Rome. It is the last level of appeal in Italy before unresolved cases go to civil courts -- a path most of the teams have threatened to

well...lets see what kind of a 'reduced' sentence this team manages to buy. No dout these guys will go to the Serie C for 10 years, as a 'warning' to the other teams.

Reggina are screwed. Even if they receive the same 'light' sentence as Lazio, Fiorentina and Milan, that would put them directly in Serie B.

LOL why even charge them. After the "harsh" sentencing and then backing off all it did was make these guys a joke. I guess if you aren't match fixing you aren't trying in Seria A eh? If they would have stayed true to their word I would maybe show intrest, but they didn't so...

I'm cynical by nature (having Italian blood), but I think your cynicism is a little over-board. Reggina is being charged because they should be.

Is anyone else as completely fed up with the entire Italian Football Federation as I am? I mean seriously, so many of the top teams involved in match fixing (need I even mention those who were involved and were not even charged), plus all the racism and other crap. I'm sorry, but if I were a fan of one of the teams charged with match fixing, I would not be a fan of them anymore. Call me an unloyal fan or whatever, but cheaters do not deserve my money or my support.
