Here is the translation with google:rolleyes: :

THE SELECTOR EXPLAINED THAT ITS FUTURE “DEPENDS ON CERTAIN CONNOTATIONS”

Aragonese: “I have submitted the retirement application because it is what all wanted”
Aragonese Luis, who this Monday put his position to disposition of the Real Spanish Federation of Soccer, declared that he submitted his retirement application “because he is what all wanted”, talking about mainly to the mass media, that the last week criticized to him after the defeat of the selection before Ireland of the North in party of classification for the Eurocopa of 2008. “Wise person of Hortaleza”, that the past Friday assured that it wanted to follow in the position, seems to have changed of opinion throughout the weekend, situation that did not clarify. “It is not weekend question nor don't mention it. Before you said what I said and now you will say what I say”, commented.

The national selector either did not want to clarify the reasons that have taken to him to make the decision to leave the position, and either said nothing on the motivations that will take to him to decide if finally it leaves the continuous position or in him. “One submits the retirement application because it presents/displays it. If I follow in the position or no, it depends on certain connotations”, it aimed. Aragonese Luis submitted the retirement application to the RFEF, that rejected their proposal and located the technician to think their final decision, that it will communicate in a term of two days.

I like this sentence by Luis talking abou media in Spain: "Before you said what i said, and now yo will say what i say"

Do you think he has done the right thing?

Nah, even as a Real fan I don't think Guti should be put in the team because Spain's midfield is so stacked. Who is Guti going to replace? Alonso? Fabregas? Xavi? Not very likely.

If we base it on their last season before the WC I thought Guti put on a better performance than Xavi plus this was probably Guti's last chance to play in the WC.

Spain is short with creativity.. they had lotta posession but couldn't score.. eg; againts France

so the weakness is in the midfield.. with the style that Luis Aragones used..

I find GUTI is a more creativity player than Xavi or Alonso... so with the quality they had.. guti shud hav tested...

Seems Vicente Del Bosque wil b da next coach..

I think one of the reasons for Spain's poor performance in recent years has been Aragones. He has been a cancer on the Spanish team and with him leaving, they can look to a more positive future.

LMFAO..you for real? Spain has some of the most creative players in the game.

Their problem is that they lack physical strength in midfield.

Looks like someone hates Guti or likes Xavi or Alonso. Don't get me wrong, I didn't give you the red card. :p But midfield creativity-wise, Spain is pretty stacked in that department.

MADRID, Oct 18 (Reuters) - Luis Aragones has extended his contract as Spain coach for another two years, Spanish Football Federation president Angel Maria Villar said on Wednesday.

spain just extended his contract another two years.

Arragones is necessary to be taken off from the post of trainer of the combined team, otherwise the combined team will not get on championship of evropy. IMKHO

another great result for aragones last night. does this guy have a deal with the devil? that is the only reason he could possibly still have the spain job.

Yeah its crazy. He basically has total freedom to do whatever he likes without worrying about any repercussions.

Lots of talent on a squad with no results is usually the manager's fault.

I know if somone like Scolari were to take the Spanish job they would probably even be champions today.

My only theory is that he has some serious dirt on someone. There are always rumors in Spain about payoffs, both to Refs and to opposing clubs. This guy has to have dirt from inside the Federation and is using it as leverage. Face it, he has a job for life.:(
