Hahaha! Miiiidooo! Too bad he's playing like shit at the moment. I actually don't think this is good for the team as I think Portsmouth will be even more up for the game tommorow and may very well beat us :( . But still, it's hilarious and I hope Mido scores a hattrick against Judas and Pompey, although I doubt he's able.

I agree with you, I hope he embrasses Judas, but i'm not sure he will, thought I cant fault him for wanting to make fun of campbell, if he wants to endear himself to spurs fans, that's how to do it lol

I'm going to the game tomorrow so i'll be sure to give the bastard judas some stick lol...

I know this isn't going to make me any friends with any Spurs fans (not that I was before), but what has Mido done against Campbell to warrant his comments? All I see are three league games against Arsenal (since he has been with your club) and not a single goal. Now I do not remember if he played in all three and I am not going to go into the memory banks to find an instance (if there is one) where they have played one another when Mido was at a different club, but his record, or lack thereof, speaks for itself.

He is simply trying to win brownie points with the Tottenham fans (like Miguel said), nothing more, and if (I would say when, but I don't need the grief) he does not score once again, his comments won't matter come Monday.

i for one hope football doesn't degenerate into this kind of stupid prematch gamesmanship. leave that crap to the managers. do your talking on the pitch, not to the press. their A bunch of wankers and giving them stuff like this just makes it too easy for them.

I don't see anything wrong with players speaking their mind. If they want to interact directly with the fans great, the fans are what make football what it is and the fans care about rivalries and "gamesmanship." If anything, I'd rather see players doing it than managers; after all, part of the management's job description is dealing with the media the way the club want them too and looking respectable, this isn't so for the players. The players can say whatever they want to the media (notice that managers are the ones that get fined for comments usually, not players), and if they want to add some spice to an upcoming game, then let them do it.

i could not disagree with you more.

i guess its like sugar ray leonard. some liked the fact that he danced around the ring taunting his opponent, others were happy to see the day terry norris spanked his ass into retirement because they thought he was a dick.
i am one of those who enjoyed seeing norris retire him.

let your skill do the talking imo

Players like El Hadji Diouf, Gary Neville, etc. are like this and that's why they get so much stick, but not from fans of their own club. It's like I said, they do this stuff for the fans of their club (I'd definately be saying how much of a dick Sol is if he was taking the piss out of our players) so the analogy to boxing doesn't really work because people are fans of a single individual instead of an entity like a club. If a single individual acts like a dick, that's because he's a dick. If a single individual acts like a dick in defence of his club, then he is a dick to everyone except those involved in that club.
Plus, for me, it adds to the excitement on the pitch when you know there is conflict involved even if I am a neutral.

your analogy doesn't work imo. mido was not defending his club. he was acting like a dick. his own manager thinks that way.
this kind of attitude is not really par for the course in english football like it would be in american sport which is why this is a story and why i expect a lot of north americans (i'm one too) might not have the same issues with it.
i think it doesn't add to the excitement, its just a side bar to the sport like a soap opera.
why didn't he just say it on the pitch like neville would? you don't see neville running to the press like a pussy with stuff like this because he has the balls to do it when it counts.
'nuff said.

Oh well, I guess we'll agree to dissagree as this is more a difference of personality than something to debate. I just hope Mido
has the balls to do it when it counts

your right about the difference of personality.
to each their own:D

I have no issue with it because I like to see a bit of jibes back and forth (oh Wenger, make Ferguson mad at you once more), but again, I'm asking the Tottenham fans specifically...who is Mido, exactly? Does he really need to say something like this to properly psych himself up for the game? Trying to create a winning record and positive goal difference at home should be all he needs to worry about.

if u remeber his debut, i think you would agree he is able. but his problem is he is such a stuck up arrogant brat. he was touted to be the best since he was a kid at ajax, at egypt he is treated like a god and thinks he can get away with anything.

he needs to grow up, sort out his attitude and start showing some respect to his team and jol who stuck by him and bought him after what happened in the ACN.

im egyptian but this is just discraceful, cant he just shut his mouth, he is playin shit, could easily be the easiest forward to play agaisnt since half the time he is like a spectator on the field.

im just speechless:mad:

I hope Portsmouth win this match, especially after the disrespectful comments Mido made.

Mido is a talented player but he lets himself, his club, manager and their fans down by insulting other players.

He acted like a dick at the Africa Nations Cup when he gave his manager all that abuse when he got substituted and now this.

"What an arrogant thing to say," Redknapp told The Scum.

"It's an insult coming from somebody who has not achieved as much as Sol has in his career.

"It shows a total lack of respect and those comments will embarrass every footballer in the game as we don't talk like that about fellow pros.

"I'm sure his manager at Tottenham will also be embarrassed when he reads those remarks as it shows Mido has no real feeling for the game over here.

"One thing is for certain, I won't have to say too much to my lads in the dressing room at Tottenham.

"I'll just stick a newspaper cutting up on the wall and that will do for me."

yeah i agree. It was disgusting how he insulted his manager. Called him an amateur or something like that. Clearly he thinks he's the dog's bollocks playing in the Premiership and all. I loved it when his replacement scored the winner in that game.

But Sammy though, you'd want Pompey to win regardless though innit?;)

what's funny is that Mido is a worse striker than Sol a defender. I mean how many CL finals has Mido started in his career? He even got booted off the Egypt team during the African Cup of Nations. The guy is a hot head that doesn't respect anyone.

amen.

I mean Mido is a talent, but he really need to calm th afack down. He blows up all over the place, and from Sol is very good, and consistent(for the most part :D ). Mido at times can be a real talent but seems like he gets lost in alot of games, and just has a terrible attitude.
