Only sport I like watching the US team play!
Hope Mexico gets in too. They've improved tons since they came in last in 1999.
UEFA:
1. NORWAY
2. SWEDEN
3. GERMANY
4. DENMARK
5. ENGLAND (first time since 1995)
I'm not surprised it's northern europe...

I have seen a bit of ladies football. Being in DC, where we had a womens professional league (basically most of the top women from the world), they would play sometimes before United matches and I have to say that women's game is much more physical than the men's. It seems that the ref's let much more go on and the women dive a lot less so it can be extremely entertaining.

did anyone even watch it?
the French goal was what makes me 'love' Women's football
the English goalie was lobbed from 20/25 yards...when she was on the goal line

Team USA still look strong. They are no longer the "Arsenal Untouchables" ;) but still very strong. I am convinced Brazil have the best team, all they need is a striker. If anyone has the finals of the Athens olympics in 2004 between USA and Brazil, please upload it. Amazing game. I taped over it before I discovered MFF.

I personally think we are going to see continued dominance by northern european teams, particularly Germany, Sweden & Norway. With China, USA & Brazil thrown in the mix.

anyone took notice of Birgit Prinz' 100th goal for the german national side? she also has the most caps for germany (shared with Wiegmann) now...very impressive stats and she only turned 29 yesterday as Germany beat England 5 - 1 (with her playing her 154th cap and scoring her 100th goal...)

USA vs. North Korea.
9/11/2007.
The Lords of Irony were in rare form when the draw was made. Tough draw for the US too, with Sweden and a very physical Nigeria along with the Koreans, who are pretty much an unknown quantity.
What a group Group A would be if it was the men's Cup: England, Argentina, Germany, and Japan.

Imagine how amazing it would be if the USMNT was as heavy favorites to win that group the the women's team :)

well i do think he us women have a tough group(and north korea is a known quantity...they have won beaten china on a few occasions and regulary give the us fits...nigeria is also strong but unpredictable...sweden and germany from europe will have their say but i think the hosts will give the most stern test to the americans...ohh by the way the us will win...their goal keeper hope solo played for a team i coached during tournaments where we live...her town was about an hour away...she was a even better out-field player but when she went to college(u of washington)her coach wouldnt allow her to do double duty(in goal and on the field)
