According to Reuters, two armed men broke into to Ricardo Oliveira's sister's house and kidnapped her. It happened early wednesday morning, when the robbers broke into their home. The husband and 8yo daughter was tied up and Marie de Lourdes Silva de Oliveira was kidnapped.
Yet another kidnapping case... very sad. Must be hard for Rivardo to focus on football at the moment :(
My first response when i read it was "wholly shit"
Really, really disturbing news.Unfortunately football players' families who come from countries with a large percentage of impoverished people become the target of kidnappers, obviously seeking for ransom.
Let's hope it will be over and she'll be safe as soon as possible.:(

Its bad enough their houses get robbed when they are off playing their matches but this is too far.

sucks man I remember when it happened to Fabiano right after he made a big move to europe it distracted him big time. I think its the main reason he was dumped by Porto.

this is so sad. And so frightening for the family, and the player, who must know that this stems from his footballing success. :(

Its sad to see this happen to footballers families. They are technically 'normal' people who are unfortunate to catch the eyes of the kidnappers. I hope this gets resolved soon, ive always like Olivera.
How sad is this? And footballer's families are just the tip of the iceberg for countries where this style of kidnapping has become popular. The same kidnappers will go after the families of anyone who is successful. :(
