Kalle Svensson is a young centre back who came from IFK Göteborg in Sweden to Rangers this season.. anyone know how he's doing, if he's starting any games etc.?

Would be nice with some info about him from a rangers fan, or at least from someone who's into Scottish football, which I can't say I am :).

Good movement and ability, weak when the balls in the air. Had an inconsistent start to the season and has now been replaced in favour of Papac.

Still too early to say

I speak honest when I say I haven't been too impressed with his contribution for Rangers considering I(we) know what he is capable of, but the team as a whole has been poor thus far. as mentioned, kalle is now warming up the bench after a inconsistant start. His time will come I am sure.

the team as a whole hasn't been great this year but there have been major chnages at Rangers in the last six months (new management/new training regime/many new players) so it will take a while for all of that to start to gell properly. I think Svensson will come good but he'll need to change his game a bit for the demands of the Scottish league AND he could probably do with having more upper body strength. This will come with training and I'm sure that PLG will play him when he is ready - he's still young.

I can see rangers closing the gap over the course of the season, and i don't see hearts hanging on to second. All it takes is a good run of results and for Celtic to stutter... we'll see come the end of the season :D

hiya richkid316, i agree with your first point, but in reguards to the hearts/rangers comments, i wouldn't be so sure! the spl over the past couple seasons has got a lot more competitive, which is great i might add!, and i only expect it to get better in the coming months and years.
we'll see come the end of the season :D
yes we will :D :D

Glad to hear! Thanks for giving me an update :). Hope he will develop as a player and become a future Mellberg or Lucic :D!

The trouble is with Svensson is he tries to be a footballer.

The main problem is the pairing at CH. You cant have two footballers - which Rodregez and Svensson are. You must have at least one hard man. In scottish football, two footballers doesnt work.
