i bought one from barca online but was before the season start

Its for charity and even if you buy one, not even a single amount of your money will go to unicef(unless you buy it from official barca store). So what are you bickering about? There are sellers that create custom kits for their customers though.

I actually don't mind buying one with a UNICEF logo at all. I just prefer to have one without it. If I don't, I'll just settle for the UNICEF/BARCA jersey. :)

It is the first time they have a jersey sponsorship in their entire history. They tried to stike a deal with the Bejing Olympics, but the members were hostile to the idea. This is sort of a compromise to get sponsorship on the shirts. I bet that next year or the year after, their shirts will be emblazoned with Emirates.

you hit the nail right on the head...
expect an official sponsorship when there deal with Unicef is over...

they were the last major club to have anything on there shirts sponsorship wise... purists were actually up in arms when it was first discussed. I think the Unicef deal is extremely clever.

All I know is whoever is the first paying shirt sponsor of Barca, is going to have to pay out there asses for the right to do so...

Who needs a Russian sugar daddy when you've got the insane TV deal that Barca has, and the prospect of even more coming through if they ever decide to have a paying sponsor on their shirts!!

Some North American sports have some sort of revenue sharing which allows smaller market teams to be more competitive...but I doubt the big European teams would ever allow that to happen...
