Rumour has it Dortmund coach Bert van Marwijk (BVM) is on the hot seat.
He was quoted as saying prior to the game that "I will quit if my best isn't good enough". No word yet on if he's resigned or what.
Also, Dortmund keeper Weidenfeller received a straight red in the 49th for handball outside the area, dunno if it carries any suspension over into regular league play.
More games on the 25th, including the Munich Derby.
Schalke out again!!

im a bit scared w/Kaiserslautern. very tricky tie. hopefully we can pull it off. what munich derby?
I was at the Köln/Schalke match and it was a terrific game. Great Cup atmosphere, well worth visiting it :)
oh, my bad, I thought I read somewhere it was 1860 vs. FCB in the cup, I was wrong, my fault, sorry.

Köln are my 2nd favourite team in the Bundesliga, from way back in the Littbarski, Haessler & Schumacher days!!

Watched Dortmund last friday and they were awful, total lack of energy the whole game. Quite supprising since the names they have in the squad. Saying that only watched two full dortmund games this season. Bayern and Bochum

Can't believe how UGLY that Novakovic is! So tall and that short hair with the band

They've been BRUTAL all season.
Pienaar is useless, the defence are in tatters, the right side is a joke, the only bright spots right now are Weidenfeller & Tinga.
The scary thing is they're still less than 5 pts from the top.

Are you from Köln?
My Mom is from around there (Kerpen-Sindorf area).

dortmund sold odonker, i think they could use him now...
I heard Betis fans weren't too happy with his first half performance this past weekend.
Dortmund could use anything right now.

Woozaa what a match :D
Why is it that Schalke drops from a solid class to terrible weak in one moment to another ? That happened in a couple of matches now. Except of Bordon everyone stops playing. Puuh he was close to a Blackout yesterday :]
Köln was strong, no question they deserved the win. But Cabanas is a nasty bitch. Anyone followed his national matches ? Is he doing all this provoking stuff there too ?

I live in Köln since a couple of years, yes.
Hopefully they`ll get back to first division next season once again.
Often there`s 40.000 people coming, which is stunning for second division :)
I´ll go there again next sunday vs. Hansa Rostock.
Unfortunately Patrick Helmes is injured at the moment. IMO he is the biggest talent among the young German strikers at the moment. Nobody is speaking about Podolski anymore in Cologne.
But I´m more of a Bremen fan since my youth. Luckily I found out a short while ago that there are two Werder bremen Pubs in Cologne which show all the matches and draw a lot of Werder Fans :)

Metzelder is starting training tomorrow I read on http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/0,1518,444943,00.html
I lived in Dortmund during their great years in the nineties when they won the Title 96 and 97 and the Champions League. That was really nice :)

Cant say how much i agree ;)
This boy is pure quality! The same injury cost Mintal 1 year of development, but i hope Helmes gets safely over it.

Hans Meyer is simply a genius, what a move to switch the keepers ;)

good guess :D
Last time we played them at Nürnberg (few weeks ago) they got a late equalizer.
We gonna play without Streit (not in squad) and Kyrgiakos is in big doubt.
Lets see what happens tonight, its a plus that we play them away, so we can sneak a goal or two on a break. :o

So the final Nurnberg - Stuttgart. Nurnberg won both games in the Bundesliga this season: 3-0 and 4-1. Can Stuttgart take revenge in this final?

Quite a surprise to me not to see one of the big teams there. But it makes this years final way more interesting. I would not want to guess the winner of the final, could be both teams. Somehow I wish Nürnberg would win, I simply like their coach Meyer!

Yeah, maybe the biggest name of the Semi-finals; I mean who'd have thought that Nürnberg, Wolfsburg and Eintracht will qualify for the semis and not Bayern, Schalke, Bremen!?
It is the best since most interesting DFB-Pokal setup in years :)
P.S.: just realised: Hildebrandt, who will leave Stuttgart next season, plays against his successor Rafael Schäfer in the Final
So only the Final left to be played.
DFB-Pokal 2006/2007 Finale at Olympiastadium Berlin

:) Thanks. I'm already so excited. This will be a tough game for us.The other two games this season against Stuttgart were at such good dates for us (beginning of the season, first game after winter break), so this will be an open clash.
Now that was a really good Final I think.
Congratulations to Nürnberg :)
