The points deduction penalty that was imposed on Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina for their involvement in the recent scandal in Serie A has been reduced as follows:
Juventus and Lazio: 8 points off their penalty
Fiorentina: 4 points off their penalty
AC Milan's penalty remains the same.

The punishments lost their legitimacy a long time ago. This should be disappointing but it evokes nothing but apathy.

You are correct, but the reduction makes a huge difference in Serie A.Lazio are out of the relegation zone and Fiorentina move a step closer.Chievo, Parma and Ascoli are in big trouble, not that they were not before.

And AC Milan is the only team that didn't benefit from a penalty reduction:mad:

Yea

I cant get over the fact that Juve got 8 points off their penalty and we got 0! No change that, I still cant get over the fact that we got penalty at all!

Corruption through and through. Now we know no problem was repaired, so the question is how much does the corruption of Italian football bleed into UEFA?

You should stop complaining, Juventus were the only ones sent back to Serie B

Juve are not scapegoats. They were deservedly relegated, and are thoroughly undeserving of a lessened penalty.

you're whinging about not getting your points reduction decreased. ffs. you got to stay in Sierie A, had the least punishment of everyone AND you were allowed into Europe when you shouldn't have been. Do you want them to hand over the scudetto and champions league to you on a silver platter too? ffs

I don't think any of the penalties should have been reduced, let alone reduced yet again. Juve were the main culprits in the scandal, so I empathize with what tanja is saying.

I don't think anything should have been reduced at all from the first ruiling, for all 4 clubs. we talking about this in irc a bit yesterday fac. I feel that we both have the same exact opinion on this

The only teams that really should have been punished were Juve and Fiorentina. Juve should have been sent to Serie C1 and Fiorentina to Serie B. Milan and Lazio were over-punished. Their only crimes were bitching to the referee designator after bad weekends.

There are back-handed transfer deals in England and everyone brushes it off. But as soon as something happens in Italy, all the outsiders are so indignant about it. Learn about what actually happened in Italy before spouting off how upset you are at the issue.

I would just like to thank the baby Juve fan who anonymously neg reped me. Don't be such a pussy. If you disagree with my viewpoint/arguement, state it in the actual thread. Don't be such a pussy.

Yes we got to stay in Serie A and play in Europe, anyting else would've been a scandal!

Can you please tell me what we've done that makes us deserve this penalty then?

bollocks. Milan were found guilty, as were the three other clubs, and cheating under uefa's rules means that the club isn't allowed to play in Europe. Milan were found guilty of something that constitutes cheating, and therefore should not have been allowed into europe this season.

Yea we called and complained on a referee after the Chievo (I think) game, while Moggi arranged and settled persons to referee the juvegames. This club get points back and we dont? I don't know exactly what Lazio & Viola did so I can't say anything about them.
I think my eyes are fine thnx!

Lazio did the same thing Milan did. Bitch and complain about bad reffing.

Fiorentina should be in Serie B. They went to the godfather, er, I mean Moggi when their season was in jeopardy to get a little 'help'.

hah, italians are famous for scandals. alot, alot, alot of them come up but a lot of them blow over due to the 'hardcore' corruption. if you were looking for some really serious stuff done to juve, forget it. i dont know a whole bunch about the issue, but no one seemed enthused with the 8 penatlies or whatever. and i dont know if it is good or bad. but in general, things like that blow over. you got the richest sports people being tormented for obvious corruption. but they just buy their way out..

about a week ago former president silvio was said to stand in court soon to face corruption charges. silvio being former president and oh wait, the biggest buisness man in the country (scandal, scandal, scandal, corruption!!) and richest man in the country, how do you think it will fair over? pretty fair in his favour im going to say :P so scandals is a Italian thing :P and there is your fun fact of the day
