Celtic midfielder Evander Sno is a surprise inclusion in the provisional Holland national squad for their upcoming friendly with England.

The 19-year-old, who was a summer signing for Celtic from Feyenoord, described the call-up as "an honour".

Despite his limited number of first-team appearances, Sno's performances have caught the eye of national team coach, Marco Van Basten.

Sno could now make his international debut on 15 November.

However, the player is taking nothing for granted.

"I don't want to speak too soon," Sno told AD Sportwereld.

"Some players will be sent home, of course, when the selection is brought back to the normal size.

"But it's an honour for me that the national team coach even watches me and that I am in the picture right now" added the Dutchman.

Van Basten will announce his final 20-man squad on 10 November.
