Queensland Roar has accepted Miron Bleiberg's offer to resign as coach of the fast-falling A-League club.
Following recent indifferent results, including a loss to rock-bottom New Zealand Knights last week, the club’s Board of Directors accepted Bleiberg's resignation with immediate effect.
According to a club media release: "Mr Bleiberg is desperate for the club to achieve its aims of finals football this season and feels changes are required to meet that goal."
"The club will hold a media conference tomorrow (Monday) with Miron Bleiberg and CEO Lawrence Oudendyk."
After a solid start to the season that saw the Roar rise to second in the table, the team has only captured one point and one goal in its last four games, and now cling on to a top-four spot only by goal difference.
Bleiberg is the second coaching victim of the season, after Newcastle Jets showed Nick Theodorakopoulos the door after round seven. The Jets have since won four of their last five matches.
