Huszti is absolutely AWESOME ;) Everyone (including me :D) is really impressed of his game.
P.S. He has the highest rate of all the players at Zenit's official web site :) Too hard to believe he is a newcomer

Agreed, but.. who do you mean is simple? :D Huszti?! I'm pretty sure, he is not ;)

P.S. Forgot to mention: Tymoschuk is a superman :D Being injuried twice during the 1st half he came back on the field and scored the winning goal: damn, wtf we should let him go to Bayern??? :(

Nice pitch you got there, I see you're trying to compete with Luch for the best football pitch in Russia :p;)

anyway, what's going on with Puygrenier? Why don't you call him back with all those injuries you have? you even had only 4 outfield players on the bench yesterday

Actually the pitch was quite good considering the conditions the match was played in. ;)

Puygrenier is in Bolton now, he's on loan there with a buy-out option after his loan ends (jun 30 2009)... Dick said that he did the right thing sending him away, maybe he was a source of some unrest in the squad, only the chosen ones know :D

As for yous, there's one question that is bothering me - how come your shirts are so incredibly fuckin ugly? :D ;)
Btw, I like our new kits, I don't think any other team in the world has a similar one, which makes us unique... ;)

Belated answer :D - it's not us that want to let him go, it's him that wants to go away as soon as possible...

Good thing about Puygrenier as he clearly sucked in Russia, but how come are you not buying more new players especially with Tymoschuk leaving? Not that I'm complaining, with such a small squad, you won't be a big threat to us this season ;)

What are you talking about? our shirts are sexy :D:D seriously, I don't think they're that bad looking, they are original;)

AHAHAHAHA, you only wish we'd become into tameable small lions but in fact we are fuckin huge monsters that will tear you apart! :D
Actually you don't have to worry about our midfield :D
The most likely scenario seems to be this >>> Denisov will become the nominal defensive midfielder, Semshov taking his place (a cross between a DM and CM), Zyryanov or Faizulin on the right flank...

Huszti and Danny seem to be a very good pairing on the offensive wings, we only have to either make a brilliant finisher from Pogrebnyak (basically making a diamond from horse dung) or buy someone else...

As for your shirts, it seems so empty the whole kit, black huge cloth of emptiness... Not that I like twenty five advertisements on kits, but even one would help it incredibly so it won't look like some Albanian team on a friendly match in Nepal... ;)

But what happens if one of them is injured/suspended? Who will take their place? Ionov? (I don't even know what position he plays:p) or maybe the FM08 legend Anton Sosnin? :D At least at CSKA we have back ups for every position (even more so with Fatty Carvalho back in the team:p)

http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/stories/cska-reebok-09-10-kit.jpg

They look fine to me, with the CSKA logo and that cool thing on the right shoulder:D and we do have an advertisement on it, look at the tiny "reebok":p
We can't all have the name of a gas company written in big letters in the middle of the shirt;)

As for the Zenit part of the question, it's easy to answer, we've got Shirokov, who can cover basically every post (though there are question marks concerning his performances on those posts), Sirl can cover the whole left lank (he can play LB, LM and LW) if necessary, so it's not that terrible.
Basically we've got 7-8 interchangeable midfielders, so don't you worry about us. :D
It's the defence, the goalkeeping and the goal-scoring ratio of our attackers that are the weak points of our team. ;)

Sosnin had a bad injury last year and it took him quite a lot to recover, therefore he didn't really perform as everyone expected. Nevertheless, he's a shy, hard-working and committed lad, it won't take him too long to be in the Zenit first squad, a question of a year or two...
Ionov is a part of the squad only because of the U-21 rule (saying that every Russian team has to have at least one u-21 player in the squad of 18 people)...Imho, Sosnin is much more interesting than he is... Ionov is a right midfielder/winger...

How dare you talking about big companies sponsoring clubs? It was you who started all this "ooh-i'm-a-oligarch-lets-buy-a-club" thing ;)
Sibneft'? ;)

Btw, this looks utterly awkward, like some undertaker-football club :D

Good thing about Puygrenier as he clearly sucked in Russia

Puygrenier had a pretty nice match against Loko in the 2nd round - he even scored that day; but actually I think it would be much better for him if he continued to play tennis :D He's not a football player, really :p

Belated answer :D - it's not us that want to let him go, it's him that wants to go away as soon as possible...

I know, I know... he really deserves to play at some "bigger" (than russian) championship, - at the EPL, spanish Primera or at least italian Serie A. But Bayern... We have a better squad, better manager, bigger salaries... :p ...we are ambitious and much more prospective. And for whom he leaves us?.. For Bayern which we crushed 4-0 not so long ago, even without our key-player those days :/
I don't get it

p.s. http://www.boxnews.com.ua/photos/1666/Nikolay-Valuev-Evander-Holyfield21.jpg

One of the journalists from the post-[Zenit-vs-Stuttgart]-game press conference said that Valuev is coming to Stuttgart next week to support us :D
That's great, imho :p

But did you receive any other offers from other clubs apart from Bayern? His price tag was pretty high and maybe Bayern were the only club willing to spend so much money on him. Plus, he's won everything he could with Zenit (unless you think you can win the Champions League:p) and he was probably no longer motivated and wanted a new challenge kinda like Arshavin ;)

Yeah, I know, but as a Zenit supporter I just feel regret that our captain and our best player leaves us for the team that I don't really think is better than we are :)

No, I don't :D

Tomorrow is a huge Russian derby featuring CSKA and Spartak. CSKA is searching for a new identity as a result of Zhirkov's departure which puts a lot of pressure on Vagner Love to lead the team. Spartak, on the other hand, got some momentum rolling , but they have an inexperienced coach, Karpin. I see this game as a midfield bottle- Karioka vs Dsagoev, Alex vs Aldonin. Plus, we will see two of the league's best forwards bottling it out in front of full stadio. I predict Spartak by two goals. What do you guys think?

I dont understand why Zenit is buying new players - Advocat is set to leave soon for Belgian NT. New coach will be building a new team, he might not need players like Rosina and Xusti.

meh, i guess CSKA (post-Gazzaev) going through the same stuff the Spartak (post-Romantsev) went through [actually Zenit are heading here too - post-Arshavin lol].. I can't remember the exact dates and length of stay but remember a few.. Zico, Juande, Artur Gorge who came in when Gazzaev took the national team job.. Those may have had language barriers and other adaptation problems, so at least i think Slutskiy is a prudent appointment to end the manager jinx..

He's relatively young for a manager, definitely intelligent (in football terms, not sure lol, somone help me).. Has been making a decent progress from FC Moscow to Krylya... But i've barely followed any of this league for last 2-3 years so i don't know about the quality of Slutsky's job lately.. remains to be seen i guess. He has a huge task of dealing with the future and Akinfeev/Krasic/Dzagoev.. I think that the Brazilians Vagner and Carvalho grew bored in the end and significantly dropped in form... unlike Olic who was on top of it for most of the time and moved on (hamburg at that time).. Jo's departure is arguably a bust and may have come too early, so I hope Dzagoev doesn't make the same mistake.. as for Akinfeev, he's still only 23, but hopefully doesn't stop on growth.. he's definitely ready to take it to the next level and become one of the best keepers in the world.. although this doesn't mean he has to sign for a big club, but if there's a right move, i'm sure he'll take it.. but i'm not really sure if he's replaceable...

is going to be a beeeyotch and I pity the manager that has to do it. When you're 23 and you're #1 for your club and country that says a lot. The RPL + CL experience is going to help his growth a lot. :) Allegedly SAF is still looking at him (pleeeeeeeease). :D

so what, Zenit sign Kerzhakov and suddenly they are favourites to win the league?? that's ridiculous. We should win the league especially if we manage to keep Krasic.

Yeah it is. On the plus side, CSKA @ 4.75 would likely be worth a punt. Did Rubin Kazan lose a ton of players? FK Rubin Kazan 7.50

Rubin lost one of their best players, Alejandro Dominguez, and haven't made any noticeable addition to their squad yet, they still have a pretty good team imo

I don't know what's going on with FC Moscow, they've lost more than half of their squad and still haven't signed anyone

MOSCOW, Feb 5, 2010 (AFP) - FC Moscow have been forced to withdraw from the Russian league this season after their main sponsor Norilsky Nickel cut their funding, the company's manager said Friday.

"The management of the mining company Norilsky Nickel decided to stop funding of FC Moscow football club and reorganise it," the head of Sports Projects company Leonid Isakovich told the news conference.

"The club will not play in the Russian Premier League this year. We were seeking another sponsor for the club but failed to find anybody."

Sports Projects are the subsidiary company of the Russian mining giant.

FC Moscow finished sixth in the league last year.

They become the first club ever to withdraw from the Russian top flight.

Can anyone help me figure out what the hell is going on with the RPL schedule now. They're playing this weekend until November in phase 1? Does this mean that the usual top 3 will play in the CL and then places 4-5 will play in the Europa League. Then in the spring of 2012, they are going to have the mini-groups to play in the next seasons CL/EL? The season will then pick up the following summer (2012)? I'm so confused right now.

In Eurocups 2011/2012 russian clubs will participate according to results of the season 2010 (which ended in November, 2010).
In Eurocups 2012\2013 our clubs will participate according to results of the season 2011/2012 which will have ended by the summer 2012.

OK. Makes sense. This upcoming long season, how will this work. It's going to be regular March-November and then a break? Then its 2 groups of 8. They play each other 2x within these groups? What months will this mini season take place during?

It starts in a week and will end in May. But every team has already played 2 games of this mini-season. And 12 games left of this mini-season. By the way i don't really realize why they take into account all point gathered by teams and not only those points which were collected in games between these 8 teams.
