japan had a very poor g.d. i believe it was 1. i'm looking forward to the north-south korea match. north koreas youth are no joke. i saw one of their practice matches and they played beautifully. south korea is considered a strong football country. should be a good match.

oops, I forgot, the foreign legion/mercenaries
but surely that's V bad for football in general tho'.... Iran's teakwondo player missed out on a DESERVED gold metal to a Qatari player. The Arabs will run the show and will do anything in their power to keep themselves satisfied including cheat their way through.
The Iranian player clearly knocked the Qatar opponent down 3 times towards the end and it looked to have the Gold Medal in hand but the ref ruled the other way so the stinkin' Qatar player from some other part of the world, who bought his way through the tourney, and will continue to buy their way to medals won :(
Same thing will happen this Tuesday, but this time in football...we will be robbed and will once again fail to the Arabs power in Asian sports, a power that comes from abuse, money, and cheat.

Hosts Qatar ousted defending champions IR Iran to reach their first ever Asian Games football final – a result which arguably indicates a wind of change about to sweep through West Asian football. Qatar, who have never picked up an Asian Games football medal, will meet Iraq – surprise 1-0 conquerors of Korea in the day’s other semi – in an all-Arab final on Friday 15 December
more ammo for iKnan's arguement eh?
and totally busted my prediction of Iran vs South Korea final :o :( (which would have been much better)

i didn't kno the qatar team was made up of alot of non-qatar players. how is this allowed? is it the parent/grandparent clause?

Qatar should win the Gold as they truley deserve it after they went on a shopping sprea for their Athletes from all countries. ;)

I believe thats why FIFA started to knock down... because the oil rich countries kept on buying foriegners into their nationality!!!
Iraq is in the final... haven't seen a single highlight of the tournament but man do I ever wish we'd win it for the people back home... at least every single player is Iraqi :)

watched the last 30 minutes of the Iraq-Korea game..have never seen so much play acting and time wasting in my life..sickening..the iraqi players need to be ashamed of themselves..wasted about 15 of the final 30 by rolling around..pathetic...ref did nothing about it either which was even worse..korea should have easily won this

Spoilers on Iran - S.Korea:
Iran win Bronze after a 1-0 win over South Korea in extra time.
Iran finish the tournament ahead of all Arab countries in the medal table, as the phrase "money won't buy you glory" is once again proved.

considering we have no training facilities we had to act!! Yes I agree its a disgrace but considering the circumstances, I just want the ppl back home to be happy about something!!!

would love it if you stop generalizing about Arabs... you should say gulf countries because those are the ones that are tyring to buy success... most arabic countries are too poor to lure anyone... THAT IS A FACT!

I thought Iran and Iraq are both oil rich?
I thought Iran and Iraq are both oil rich?
They are, but they don't use it to buy players... sadly they use it to build weapons & armies... Iraq did and they got destroyed by the US... Iran is still doing it but I hope they have a regime change without a conflict.
Don't know why I'm mentioning this as it might not be relevant... even though Iraq & Iran had an 8 yr war, most of us get along and like each other. Not sure what it is but there is some kind of bond between us and them. I think Iknan even said in one of his posts that he doesn't consider iraqis to be arabs (who he despises)... a lot of Iraqis think a lot more highly of persians than other arabic countries do.

Agree...
Iranians have a bad gov't hugging up all the money...hopefully a revolution by the younger generation that haven't been brainwashed will be the solution to the problem.

The difference is that the french team is made up of immigrants... these guys have live in France and have earned a french passport way before reaching football stardom.
Qatar is handing out passports to established players who have no intention in living in Qatar once their footballing days are over... I bet they don't even speak the language.
You can't compare the 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now, wrong is wrong...and in this situation it's not about quantity, it's not right to do.
